This is going to be the obligatory “I’m sick, woe is me” post. You have been warned.

But I do have to say, I’ve got it pretty made when it comes to being sick. I may not be feeling up to going outside much, but thankfully…nature comes to me.

a gml week in review.

Even though a lot of what I post here on GML recaps what’s going on in my life, most of it does in fact slip through the cracks.

…like on Monday, how I spent the evening mourning the loss of one of the great television series of our time, Gossip Girl.

I won’t spoil the

carnival des corbeaux.

Last night, Jessi and I did something different than what we normally do on a Saturday night.

Or…ever.

We were kindly invited to go to Carnival Des Corbeaux at The MicKittrick Hotel a few days before Halloween, but this chick named Sandy decided to come by and created many more important things to worry

every other day.

My current work schedule has every other day of my life looking completely different from the last.

On the days that I work from home, I spend just about all of 9-5 sitting on the couch in front of my computer doing real estate admin work (and squeezing in some FreelyBe and blogging, of course).

That would be my college roommate and great friend Nicole, whose been paying me a visit over the past couple of days. With Thanksgiving around the corner and gorgeous weather here in the city, it’s been the perfect time for her to visit and do “New Yorky” things together.

I’m not really sure when Halloween became a week-long festivity, but that definitely seems to be the case this year. And I must say, I don’t hate it.

On Friday night we kicked things off with the 2nd annual FreakyBe costume party.

To me, there are two types of being busy. There’s the bad - I’m-going-to-pull-my-hair-out - kind, and the good – why can’t every week be like this? - kind.

Thankfully, so far this week has been the latter.

Yesterday Jessi and I got a very special treat of a complimentary facial at Caudalie Spa thanks

all the elements.

There are a handful of elements that make for the perfect weekend, if you ask me.

Friends. Family. Relaxation. Good food. Good weather. Adventure…to name a few. The past few days somehow managed to squeeze all of those in.

After a long day of work and meetings on Friday, a night in with my two

rewind and fast forward.

Considering our launch party was the first large-scale FreelyBe event, you’d think the week leading up to it would be a complete nightmare of stress of problems. That’s what I was prepared for, at least. But thankfully…despite a few mishaps here and there…things were surprisingly smooth.

On Wednesday I made the selfish move of taking

first look at the freelybe launch party.

We did it!

FreelyBe is officially launched, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it. Our launch party on Friday was a huge success, and we can’t thank our amazing sponsors, staff, and guests enough for being a part of it.
