I’ll be honest – the past couple of weeks have not been the most productive for me. Between going back and forth to Montauk and just being in a bit of a personal rut, I’ve kind of been getting by doing the bare minimum. Sometimes you just have to let yourself, you know?
This week, though, has been quite the 180 so far. On Monday I spent the whole day getting caught up with work and other life stuff. I even managed to stay up late finishing some work I had been putting off.
(…because a cozy candlelit room makes projects that much easier, right?)

Fast forward to yesterday where I had a full day out and about in the city. My first stop was Brooklyn Heights to see my lovely friend Emily and her little snuggle muffin Jax. This boy…

And I’ve got to say, Brooklyn has been making quite an impression on me lately. You see that? Trees!

After Emily’s I headed back into Manhattan to meet Jessi for lunch and to talk all things wedding. We went to Westville and enjoyed veggies on veggies on veggies.

And iced coffee, of course.

This wedding planning stuff is no joke. I even took notes!

(…which is now the mother of all spreadsheets. Dear other bridesmaids, please don’t hate me
)
After lunch we stopped by a bridal shop for Jessi to get a head start on her dress search. Mission (almost) accomplished.

With another full day today and tomorrow, and heading to see my family on Saturday, it looks like this week is going to continue being a great one. I’ll take it.
As usual, gotta leave you with this great excerpt from yesterday’s devo…

Have you had a productive week so far?

LOVE THAT DEVO. Needed that. I’m having to be patient, as you know, and that’s not my strong suit. Probably why God makes me wait a lot.
I definitely have days which go by and I’m doing 180s all over the place. The rollercoaster of life. I saw Brooklyn Heights on House Hunters and it IS gorgeous! I love how it just looks like a small section of a tiny city! So cute!
Love all things wedding planning! I can imagine it would be a bit more crazy with such a short time to plan though.
I’ve been pretty productive since getting back from vacay. My problem is I don’t know how to slow down and relax!
I’ve had a fairly productive week too! It’s a great feeling.
Wedding planning is serious business…I had no idea until one of my friends got engaged a few months ago. It’s like a full-time job for her right now! It’s so sweet of you to help out though- I’m sure she appreciates it!
Great post on wedding planning. Good decisions are being shaped by a good planning. You will be as plucked as a flower and as beautiful as you could become on your wedding day! I’d like to add though that aside from being productive, getting creative should as well follow. Thank you for sharing this brilliant post.
Whenever I come to your blog, I leave feeling so inspired. I’m a new time commenter, and I just wanted to thank you for all the quotes and Bible verses that you leave us. It makes me feel so blessed and just awash in His enduring presence. I hope your ‘rut’ subsides. I hope you’re blessed as you have blessed us. I hope that there is neverending happiness for you. God has your back, and you know it too. Just believe
