Good morning from Pennsylvania!
I’m in my home state today to practice that good old American right called the freedom to vote. And, I must say, I’m pretty darn excited to do so.
Appropriately enough, I geared up by watching The Campaign last night.
Has anyone seen this? I thought it was pretty funny (although quite crude at times) and a good way to laugh at politics a bit before the seriousness of today…
Also seeming appropriate was my train-ride breakfast – a seasonal pumpkin scone from Starbucks (paired with a red-cupped coffee, of course). As a pumpkin freak, I can’t for the life of me figure out WHY I had not experienced this deliciousness yet!
Then of course, as I save for every visit to PA, was an appropriate pedicure date with my mom and sister. Some things will never change…
Last but not least, this seems appropriate for obvious reasons.
I can’t really explain why, but I’ve been feeling like November and December are going to be incredible months…like a big celebration after a year of hard work and not-so-easy-but-worth-it experiences. Anyone with me on that??
Enjoy your Tuesday, friends, and please make sure to get out there and VOTE!

So with you on this -> “like a big celebration after a year of hard work and not-so-easy-but-worth-it experiences.” I mean, I was unemployed for the first 7 months of the year, but it wasn’t exactly a vacation. I’m feeling, and hoping, and maybe even NEEDING November and December to give me a boost before I take on new adventures in January and February.
yay for being in PA! thats exciting. Where at in PA did you live? I’m from Lancaster County! I love that movie my fiance and I just watched it for the first time the other day!
PA- that’s awesome! Your vote is important! Which way are you casting it? 🙂
Oh man I need that pumpkin scone in my life! And a pedicure!!!
Haha, awesome way to welcome in election day! I haven’t seen the movie but I heard it was just like you said- a mix of funny + crude, but aren’t most of Will Ferrell’s movies that way?! Enjoy your time at home!
Yay for being back home- hope you are having an awesome time! And happy election day!! I like your thought about November and December! I’m hoping for a similar experience!
wish you would have said that that pumpkin scone tasted awful!!
girl, I hope you’re right about November and December! Also, when are we meeting up? But no, seriously?!?
I’m with you on the whole November/December will be full of surprises! My horoscope says so too 😉
I want some excitement to come my way.
