Cake Batter Blondies can be made without using egg! Simply follow the original recipe, omit the egg, and double the amount of milk. Boom.

It’s officially cold enough to wear layers upon layers from day into night.

One of my favorite restaurants, Delicatessen, is serving a full brunch menu just a day after power being restored. Eggs Benedict + avocado…don’t mind if I do.

Last but most certainly not least…

Almost all power has been restored in NYC!!!!!

Although there’s still a lot to be done to return “back to normal,” the city has come together and united like it always does. New Yorkers are helping pick each other back up, and it’s an inspiring thing to see and be a part of.

  • My good news- I ran my half marathon yesterday 22 minutes faster than my previous half marathon- I’m so excited!!

    I’m also happy about all the donations and charity work happening in New York/New Jersey. I know there’s a long way to go, but I’m happy that so many people around the country are stepping up!

  • I’m so happy to hear things are shaping up there. It’s tragedies like the hurricane that really show the true nature of a community.

    And now I feel like I need to make some cake batter blondies…

  • I’ve felt extra far from New York these past few days but it makes me oh-so-proud to read about how much New Yorkers are coming together to bring the city back to life.

    In other news, what I wouldn’t do to have an oven so I could make those cake batter blondies! :)

  • I finally made the blondies and they were AMAZING! I was horrible and put funfetti frosting on them. Horribly GREAT! :) Glad you’re ok!

  • Ohhh I need to make those blondies- I’ve made your red velvet ones before and they were delicious! I’m so glad to hear that NYC is getting back to normal- I’ve felt so worried for all of you! That’s amazing that the restaurant was able to open so quickly too!

  • That’s all very awesome news! I still can’t express how surreal the past week has been, hearing from friends in NYC still without power over the weekend… But the thankfully, despite all of the devastation, they’ve all said everyone has been so generous towards one another. Touching!
