What a fun week it’s been! I can’t believe it’s already Friday. But let’s rewind to the rest of my week, which has looked a little bit like…
Monday: I started working out again! Like, for real this time. I’ve been going to the gym, but was very inspired by these simple-ish routines found via Pinterest.
Now if only I could find out what the heck an “inchworm” is…
Tuesday: “Fat Tuesday” dinner was enjoyed at Cowgirl Sea-Horse – one of my new favorite little spots, secretly tucked away almost right under the Brooklyn Bridge. I was in Shrimp & Grits heaven.

Wednesday: giiiiiirl’s niiiiight. Think we got enough sushi?

Thursday: Valentine’s Day! Complete with a very fitting pink sunset…

And of course it isn’t Valentine’s Day without some (surprise) cupcakes.
(These are from Eleni’s - some of the best I’ve ever had!)

Friday: I’m actually heading out of town later today for a friend’s going away party on Saturday. Other than that, my day has consisted of work, coffee, and my favorite daytime talk shows
I’ll leave you with this snippet from today’s devo…

What were some of the highlights of your week?
How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day?

Haha please let me know if you ever find out what an inchworm is… I always hate finding workouts online that sound awesome but incorporate moves that I have nooo clueee what they are. They should include pictures of those silly moves!
P.S. Your sushi night looks awesome - my girlfriends and I are overdue for one of those…
Holy abundance of sushi! Looks great. Sounds like you had an amazing V-day too!!
Have you checked YouTube? Sometes you can find demos of moves on there. My v-day was excellent. Low key, cooking dinner and drinking champagne with the husband! A great night.
Yes! Well, I’ve checked YouTube for other exercise moves, but not inchworm yet
Beautiful sunset! Happy V-day, have a great weekend
you too lady!
That sunset is beautiful!
You seem to find all the best gems in the city. I will have to check out Cowgirl - Sea Horse…for the name alone
This is an inchworm! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPvAZNmzc2w PS I LOVE ALLLLLLL of your pictures you include in your post! They’re so cute and look professional!
Thank you Marissa!!
What devotional book are you reading? I’d love to check it out myself!
Hey Beth!
I read three daily devos every day – that reading is from “God’s Promises Day by Day.” I also read “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young and “Cheque Book of the Bank of Faith” by Charles Spurgeon
Hey gracie! Here is an inchworm, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yr-HHgxXTqg. Great to warmup with and if you hold the plank position at the end, you get an extra benefit to your core.
Thanks Meghan!!
Cute post and great idea to use pinterest for workouts. I do inchworm a lot in my morning workout. Here is what it is (or at least the version I was taught by Marines!):
Stand with feet just a few inches apart. Keep legs straight and feet on ground. Walk your hands out as far as you can so your body is straight (feet still havent moved). Pushup is optional once your body is straight / horizontal. Then walk your feet (baby steps) to meet your hands. Repeat. You will move across the room doing this! Such a good workout!
