Up until the past 6 months or so, foundation was never part of my makeup routine. It always felt and looked too heavy on my face, so I stuck primarily to using concealer under my eyes and blush/bronzer on my cheeks.
For the most part, I still try to keep to as little face makeup as possible. But recently I’ve realized what I huge difference wearing the right foundation can do – especially when it comes to evening and nighttime makeup. Foundation can really provide a good base to make my face look more fresh, even, and make the rest of my makeup “pop.”
Pur Minerals recently was kind enough to send me some product samples – including their 4-in-1 Liquid Foundation and 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation (with SPF 15). Both are finally the foundation I’ve been looking for; ones that apply easily, very lightweight, and look natural…not at all cakey.

For the days that I want to keep my face makeup on the lighter side, I’ve been loving the Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Mineral Tinted Moisturizer. It leaves my skin feeling soft but not greasy, and adds enough glow that I don’t even need to use a blush or bronzer. With that, some eye makeup, and a bit of the Pur Minerals Concealer, I’m ready to head out for the day with a simple yet fresh face.

Do you wear foundation? What does your daily makeup routine look like?

Gorg! I prefer minimalist makeup, so I use bare minerals, but I’m thinking of switching it up.
Haven’t used foundation since high school, circa 1902. When I decide to put on warpaint, I use BB cream, eye shadow, eye liner and mascara. Speaking of mascara, can you recommend a brand that makes puny lashes look like they’re on steroids and doesn’t flake?
Hahaha!
I swear by Rimmel Lash Accelerator - it makes your lashes look super long and actually helps them grow too!
I need to try this!
You are so gorgeous! I wear a cream>powder kind of foundation and it’s so easy and simple, I love it.
ah, thank you sweet girl!
I feel like I am on an eternal quest of finding “just the right” foundation and powders. I’ll have to look into this brand!
