The holidays may be over, but that doesn’t mean that the joy and thankfulness that comes with them has to go.
In fact, this year I’m trying to make every day as great as the holidays. For me, that means making sure I start my day with prayer, journaling about what I’m thankful for, and spending time with the people I love.
Oh…and a little chocolate never hurts.

Over the past week my friends and I have been enjoying this box of decadent assorted chocolates from Merci, which they were kind enough to send me. I missed my friends so much while I was home for the holidays, so simply catching up on the couch with tea and sharing chocolates was just about perfect.
Each box of Merci includes a delicious selection of rich, European chocolates. Flavors range from Milk Chocolate, Cream Truffle and Hazelnut-Almond to Dark Cream and Praline-Crème. My favorite was the Dark Mousse.

What are you thankful for going into 2013? Leave a comment with your answer for the chance to win a box of Merci European Chocolates!

Thankful for my sister deciding to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer! I am so proud of her. She has a long way to go but I know she will get there one day. Knowing that she is doing something she genuinely loves (she used to be an accountant prior to this and hated it) makes me warm and fuzzy inside

But, going into 2013 specifically, I’m thankful for the freedom and happiness I’ve rediscovered. After years and years of trying to be “perfect”, I’m letting go. This year I’m focusing on being happy rather than “perfect” and embracing whatever life throws my way. <3
