In 2012, I would like to (re)learn how to play piano.
…because after 11 years of playing, it should come right back to me…right?

To funny, one of my goals for 2012 is to learn how to play the piano for the first time. Best of luck!
It should…and I wish you the best in obtaining that goal. I haven’t decided what my first 2012 goal will be, but I’m sure it will have something to do with making me healthier.
Great goal! I used to play the violin (took lessons for 8 years) and it does come back, albeit not so great at first, haha!
I think it will definitely come back. Good luck!
That’s how I feel about me playing guitar. I’ve only been playing 3 or so years, but I stopped in May and haven’t touched it since. I hope it all comes back to you
I wish I never stopped playing the piano.
Good luck! That’s definitely the kind of logic I follow for pretty much everything (though it definitely doesn’t work with swimming, go figure…)
Right on girl, I totally agree.
Good luck! I played piano for years, participated in competitions, recitals..the whole nine yards! I was horrible at practicing though. I can still only play one song: Michael Jackson’s theme song from Free Willy! Great goal though..playing an instrument is an awesome skill!
It will come back more easily than you think! I can still play 3 octave scales on the violin after not having touched it for 4+ years… btw sry if I haven’t introduced myself before.. tough to remember if I have commented on any of your posts before
I took piano lessons for a couple of years when I was in elementary school and I hardly remember anything [so sad]! I remember middle C, and how to play a couple of songs, but that’s it… I was more concerned about earning an eraser or a sticker at the end of my lesson than focusing on whatever she had to say
My fiance always says he’d love to have a piano in the future [when we have more space, haha]…
Do it. I’ll be here cheering for you
I played the piano growing up but haven’t touched one in years!! Fun goal for the new year!
[...] month than by starting a fun new hobby? I wish I could say I’m practicing what I’m preaching by picking up piano again, but my new hobby looks a little bit more like this. No matter how big or small it may be, it [...]
