Last night Rachel and I had an impromptu Oscars party, and the guests of honor were…she and I.
We served up a fun spread of our favorite snacks for dinner - Pop Chips, carrots & hummus, roasted veggies, rice cakes, guacamole, almonds, and lots of chocolate. Pretty much the girliest dinner ever.
As if we didn’t already have enough in common, it was especially fun watching the Red Carpet coverage because we were on the same page with all of our favorite fashion hits. And they were…
Absolute #1 pick - Kate Hudson. Perfection from head to toe. She wasn’t even nominated, and still stole the show!
I really loved Naomi Watts - chic simplicity with some edge (especially loving her hair).
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis - basically for being the cutest/best looking couple ever.
Anne Hathaway – can’t say I love her, but really do love this simple edgy dress.
Lupita Nyong’o was a modern day Cinderella. The color of this dress is stunning.
And last but most certainly not least - Charlize Theron. She can do no wrong. You can’t really see it in this photo, but the sheer bottom of this dress is what I loved most!

Kate Hudson killed it. I thought she looked chic, sophisticated, and fierce all in one. I also loved all of the bumps; Kerry Washington looked beautiful as well.

I agree about Kate but was disappointed by the way she kept moving her hair out of her face… :/

My picks are exactly the same as yours (with the exception on Anne Hathaway’s dress…not a fan)! Kate Hudson’s dress was my #1 and Charlize Theron was #2. I loved the simplicity and colors of their dresses…you can’t go wrong with black or white. I was NOT a fan of all the nude-colored dresses though. I tend to steer away from that color because it washes me out, and it seemed to do the same to everyone who wore it.
I didn’t love most of the nude dresses either. I’ve seen ones I liked in the past, but none this year. I had high hopes for Cate Blanchett (who went with nude), but there was just too much going on with that dress :/
I loved Lupita Nyong’o’s dress. She killed it, and her acceptance speech just drove her into my heart even deeper. Instant favorite.

I agree with some of your picks, and disagree with others. Although I love Kate Hudson’s look, i wasn’t sure if I liked the cape part on the back of the dress (other than that I loved it).
