Back in February I made 3 Ingredient Banana Bread Cookies, inspired by these famous 2 ingredient cookies. I’ve seen the super short recipe for these cookies ALL over Pinterest, so I figured it must be a good one!
I’ll be honest – I thought that these would at least be a decent healthy cookie alternative, but not necessarily the best tasting. But it turns out that they are SO delicious!
All you need is 2 ripe (mashed) bananas and 1 cup of oats. Combine well, form into cookies and bake on a greased baking sheet for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
I added dark chocolate chips and shredded coconut to mine to make them a bit more sweet and hearty.
These definitely have a strong banana flavor, so if you don’t love banana these might not be for you. I love them, though, especially with the balance of flavor from the dark chocolate and coconut add-ins.
I can’t stop eating these cookies! But that’s okay because they’re like, really healthy 😉

Have you tried these two ingredient cookies? What mix-ins would you add?

I’m not a big banana fan, so thanks for the heads up! I think I made some peanut butter cookies once that were only peanut butter and sugar. Wasn’t that a recipe you had on the blog a long time ago?
Yes, those PB cookies are so simple! 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 cup PB. Soooo good
I also made this PB cookie “dough” out of cake mix and PB 😉 http://girlmeetslife.com/2011/11/2-ingredient-peanut-butter-cookie-dough/
I’ve made some like these before, but I added in peanut butter
They’re so crazy easy to make and I love that they actually ARE healthy!
I love these cookies! I also add peanut butter to make them sticky and more protein-packed, but this is just the easiest recipe ever! Definitely a favorite.
I have a few bananas that need using up and I didn’t want to have to resort to banana bread so really appreciate these recipes!
Oh crap, I just threw out a couple bananas. This sounds awesome and I really applaud you all for just throwing things together =) That is like so foreign to me. However, I am trying this. YUM. And I like the peanut butter addition too 😉 For the person asking about an easy peanut butter cookie, the only one I use now is 1 cup pb, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg. So yummy. I add chocolate chips to that.
Yes, those are the PB cookies. so good!
Need to try these. Stat!
I have made these!
I LOVE them. I had my mom try them and she loves them as well! The first and only time I’ve made them I simply added the chocolate chips. Next time I think I’ll add cranberries. I wonder if sprinkling some course sea salt on top would give them anything extra. Love the salty and sweet together.
yummm love the idea of topping with sea salt!
These are awesome! I like to add dried fruit and chocolate chips for some flair
or switch the banana to pumpkin!
I’ve been eyeing these for…years? I just figured they wouldn’t be good. Obviously, I was wrong! I’ll definitely be making them asap. (:

I love your blog Gracie.
I made these last night and they were absolutely delicious. I did add some extra ingredients which were a few butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, peanut butter, and coconut. I love the fact that they are so filling. Thanks for sharing this recipe
Thanks so much, Lulu! Glad you enjoyed the cookies
