a tuesday in the life.

One of the things I love most about working from home is my Mondays and Tuesdays. I typically make little to no plans on those days, and instead jam pack them with the things I don’t necessarily love to do (laundry, errands, bills, etc). You know…to get them out of the way.

Somehow, though, I still manage to love those days. They become my “me” days, in a sense.

Yesterday was a pretty typical Tuesday for me, which looked a little bit like this.

**********

7am: wake up, make/drink coffee, spend time with God.

8am: do blog stuff, answer emails, etc.

8:30am: get started on laundry. Yuck. Thankfully my building has a laundry room, but it’s 5 too many flights of stairs away…

(this backpack hamper actually made it quite painless. Highly recommended!)

9am: breakfast. This morning was a green smoothie and almond butter toast.

9am – 5pm: work my “regular” job. Sometimes I work from the couch, other times from a café, but yesterday my office was particularly cozy.

During the day when I get caught up with work I usually also:

Watch my favorite talk shows
Keep up on blog/social media stuff
Do butt exercises on my yoga mat (haha)
Make a few Speakable necklaces

1pm – I usually take a 30-60 minute lunch break at this time, but today I didn’t.

2pm – lunch. Today that consisted of random snacks like a Quest Bar, a Coconut Banana Chocolate Chip Cookie, and a banana with almond butter.

5pm – wrap up work, get ready for the gym.

5:30 – 6:30pm – GYM.

6:45 – 7:30pm – time for my biweekly pedicure. Poor me.

8pm – make sure to get home in time for the special Tuesday episode of The Bachelor. OMG THE DRAMA.

8:30pm – dinnertime! I made myself “brinner” – an egg & veggie scramble with toast.

9pm – girl’s gotta have her dessert, of course. Two Coconut Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies warmed up and topped with almond butter.

10pm – 11pm – Pinterest. You didn’t think I’d make it through the day without that, did you?

11ish – bedtime.

And now…hello, Wednesday! This is when my week starts to pick up a bit more, which I must say I’m looking forward to.

Do you have any days of the week that are “you” days, or more productive than others?

I am crazy busy Friday - Monday, so the middle of the week is actually my productive time. Like you, I tackle a few house tasks and get in a solid day of work. But I definitely need to start incorporating more pedicures in my life!

that Bachelor episode last night was TOO MUCH! I was already reeling from losing my favorite girl the night before. I can’t help all this drama JP!

I feel like yesterday was the day of pedicures … so awesome! I usually take a few “me hours” Tuesday or Wednesday evening, always making sure I have one of those evenings for me! Working 9-5 + teaching Pure Barre on the side doesn’t leave much room for me time 🙂

I love having “me days” during the week! Mine are usually on Mondays and Wednesdays. I don’t work in the mornings those days and only teach a few english classes at night, so I spend the day doing productive things and getting organized for the week!

Reading this inspired me to make a mani + pedi appointment for this afternoon! It’s been 2 months since I last got one… Also, glad to know I’m not the only one who goes to sleep semi-late on weeknights 🙂
