workout jackpot.

Recently I’ve been wanting to get back on the exercise bandwagon, but all I seem to find myself doing is sporadic 15-20 minutes on the elliptical machine.

And by sporadic I mean like, twice a week. Tops.

I realized that the main reason I hate working out is because I just get so bored. The easiest fix for me is always a good playlist, and Pandora clearly just wasn’t cutting it…

…and then a friend introduced me to KapSlap and this Spring Break mix (which you can download for free on the KapSlap website).

The first 30ish minutes are the best (hello my favorite Lana mix), but the whole thing is perfect - especially for cardio.

What does your workout playlist include?

If you’re a book reader, I found a book helped me when I was on the elliptical! You focus more on what you’re reading than the sweat, the burn, and the pounding heart, AND I always lose track of time so I’ve done more than I thought I have.

I put on an episode of something on Netflix on my phone that’s 45 minutes to an hour long. It makes the time fly! I don’t think I could EVER stay on the elliptical for a whole hour without the help of Grey’s Anatomy, or something of the like lol. Even when I’m outside running — I put on a podcast instead of music, ha!

yes, a good TV show definitely helps! I never thought of using Netflix, though. I actually have it on my ipad, which could be really great…

Without a doubt music gets me through every workout! and sure it sucks when you’re in the thick of it but the feeling afterwards always trumps that. Plus, my outdoor runs seeing the sunrise/sunset is my time spent meditating and talking with God. :-)
