I just can’t resist a good 19th Century film.

I blame my mom and her “forcing” me to watch Masterpiece Theatre with her growing up, but I’m so glad she did. In a world where almost every movie is now made in 3D, it’s refreshing to go back to the basics; to watch films about society, relationships, and love. Yes, I am that girl.
The latest I’ve seen: Anna Karenina.
I wouldn’t put this in my top five, but it was definitely a good one – complete with romance, scandal, stunning costumes, and the addition of a creative filming twist (which I won’t give away). Not to mention Keira Knightley can do no wrong, if you ask me.

I still haven’t seen this! But my favourite is Pride and Prejudice, especially since it’s my favourite book
To be honest I haven’t watched a lot of period films…but I love me some Downton Abbey.
I’ve been wanting to see this one! Except I kind of want to read the book first, but I don’t know if I’ll have time for that any time soon.

I loved Anna Karenina. The jewels and costums. swoon! It made me want to walk around my apartment in furs acting all dramatic.
Pride and Prejudice !!! The version with Keira Knightley is my favorite.
Also, I guess it depends what you define as a “period film” , but one can never go wrong with Titanic…. LEO! What a stud haha
