…do I even have to say it?

ingredients:
- 4 medium (or 3 large) apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup flour (we used oat flour)
- 3/4 cup oats
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon + 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons granular sugar
directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place apples in a greased 8×8 baking dish, and sprinkle with granular sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Spread topping on the apples and bake for 28-30 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
This has always been one of my family’s favorite recipes, so I made sure to whip up a batch during this visit home.
It was gone within 4 hours.

What’s one of your family’s favorite (fall) recipes?

I’m making this tonight! Love it! Reminds me of my grandmother! Thanks for posting!!
i love apple crisp! I actually made some in the crockpot the other day and posted it on my blog… it was the easiest recipe I ever made and soooo good!
Apple crisp reminds me so much of fall- my favorite dessert [or snack or breakfast :P]!
This sounds delicious and I don’t usually like cooked apples- but that crisp topping looks way too good to pass up!
I love how simple yet amazing your recipes are! I’ll have to try this!

I just wanted to let you know that I made this and loved it! I just recently found your blog and saw this recipe. I am American but currently live in Germany, and am taking a language class there. Today in the class, we had a brunch and were supposed to bring a dish from our country. I was at a loss as to what I should bring that would be simple, taste good, and be easy to transport, until I found this! Everyone thought it tasted very good, and several people even asked for the recipe. I just thought I would share, and wanted to say thank you for posting!
