premier protein review + giveaway.

I’ve always been a fan of protein and energy bars when it comes to on-the-go snacks. It wasn’t until I moved to New York, though, that I realized the absolute and utter necessity of always having one on hand. Oftentimes my runaround days leave me starving, but without the time (or spare cash) to stop for food. Not to mention it doesn’t get quite more convenient that simply throwing a bar into my purse before running out the door.

That’s why I was more than happy to review Premier Protein when they offered to let me try some of their products.

First up – the shakes. I must admit that I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a protein shake, so I don’t have much to compare these too. But I was actually pretty impressed! I realized that shakes are a great option for the morning when you’re not necessarily starving yet but need to get some nutrition in. I liked the vanilla shake the best.

Next – the bars. These were great and really filling. I had one as a “snack,” but the 30 grams of protein left me with zero appetite when dinnertime rolled around. In other words, this is definitely the bar you want to have on hand if you’re having a crazy, lunch-in-between-meetings sort of day. I liked the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor best.

    My favorite on-the-go snack has recently become nuts — usually almonds because I tend to buy the small packs from Trader Joe’s whenever I’m there so I can just throw a few in my purse :)

    I actually love protein bars as a go to or I make home made fruit oatmeal bars. It gives me that sweet kick I need!

    My go-to options are either a Quest bar (pb is my favorite flavor!) or, if I have a couple minutes, Stonyfield plain greek yogurt with a handful of berries.

    My on the go favorites are primal strips tofu jerkey, an apple and packet of nut butter, and dry roasted edamame/raisins/pumpkin seed mix

    I carry around almonds, bananas, apples, Luna bars, or roasted edamame for snacks! I’m always prepared. :)

    love larabars or quest bars (gluten-free, low-no sugar alcohols, yummy flavors). Or if i’m feeling like a candy kinda snack is needed..peanut butter m&ms

    I drink ATLEAST one shake a day. Ive lost 129lbs since doing this. I LOVE premier protein. Love love love the chocolate shake the best. I share with my Grandma who is going to be 81 on Halloween and she loves them too. I wish I could enter her to win. She needs and deserves it. If I win, ill share w my sweet granny.
