It’s me! Gracie! The girl who met life!
Okay that was like, really weird. Sorry. I think I’m that thing called “high on life,” and I’m pretty sure it’s due to the fact that I’m throwing a huge event in just a few short days.

How Jessi and I have managed to launch a company with a 5-year-old netbook and an iPad is completely beyond me. But we did.

Other things I’ve been up to? I’ve surprisingly still been able to squeeze some “normal” life into the craziness of planning the event.
…like a delicious (and cheap!) Mexican dinner with some girl friends and Pinche in Soho.

…and taking in some R&R time by doing my favorite mindless activity.

(^made it through season one in about a week, ahem.^)
Over the weekend we had the rare luxury of a car thanks to my friend Leah, so we headed to Brooklyn for the night.

…and on Sunday celebrated the one-year anniversary of Liberty Church Union Square.

Despite being all over the place, I’ve been making it a point to (try to) stay fueled with nutritious meals. In this case, a veggie and egg scramble with a side of almond butter-topped sweet potato.

…but you can best believe I always leave room for dessert.

And now, it’s Tuesday night, and I just remembered a 7am dentist appointment tomorrow.
Please remind me why I made it it that early…?
Off to bed soon for me. Hope you’re all having a lovely week.
What makes you feel “high on life?”
Best tip for staying sane during an all-over-the-place week?

Congrats on the succes of your company! I totally rely on time “wasted” with friends to stay sane, whether it’s a happy hour, walk, foodfest, I always need it!
When work days don’t feel like work (which, luckily, is often), that’s when I feel high on life!
I discovered Pretty Little Liars on Netflix last week & have already started Season 2 this week. I think it’s safe to say that I’m hooked. I’ve been asking my friends if they’ve watched it and have yet to find anyone that loves it as much as I do..
I love Pretty Little Liars. I finished Season 1 in about a week, too! Also, sentimental 20th century movies based on books is definitely one of my top profiles hahah!
I watched the first 2 seasons of pretty little liars then got lazy! I heard it decreases in quality though so I don’t feel like I missed out. Congrats on your company!
being productive and getting things things on my to-do list..best feeling ever!
I’m glad you’ve had some time for fun stuff, despite all the craziness of freelybe! I’m so excited for you and can’t wait to see how this company takes off!!
Exercise always makes me feel sane when life gets crazy. Super lame answer, but it’s the truth.
Major kudos to you for getting your own business off the ground in this wild city!
I know the very busy week all too well…c’est la vie in restaurant and nightlife PR. To stay sane, I designate one night a week to not go out or do anything so I can organize my apartment, sleep well, grocery shop, etc. Usually it’s Wednesday - kind of like a mid-week check-in with myself, haha.
The past few months have been insane aka absent from the blog world- switched jobs, got married, and worked my first trade show! The thing that kept me sane was taking a few minutes for myself each morning and night to do whatever I wanted- an extra cup of creamy coffee, waking up a little earlier to make pancakes, watching a trashy reality show… It definitely helped to keep me sane
Good luck!!!
Mmmmmm now I really want some froyo!
Hi! Long time reader, first time commenter. I’ve been looking for a “home church” lately and would love to get your thoughts on Liberty Church. Most of the churches I’ve been visiting have been further uptown, which is a bit of a trek for me.
Also, congrats on your company! I’ve been working on launching a non-profit and it’s so much work, so kudos.
Thanks in advance!
Hey! So glad you asked
I really love Liberty. I went to a few churches when I first moved to the city, and it’s the one I decided to call home. Actually, I’ve met all of my closet friends at or through Liberty!
You should definitely check it out some time
There’s a Sunday morning and evening service. I won’t be there this Sunday because I’ll be out of town but if you decide to go I can have you meet up with one of my friends! Or if you decide to go another week I can save you a seat
Let me know! xx
I’d definitely be interested in going this week. Can you message me (or email) details?
Thanks so much and sorry if this seems stalkerish lol.
