On Saturday Jessi, Aimee, and I travelled to a land far far away called East Harlem. Our destination? Earl’s Beer & Cheese.

Earl’s is owned by our friend Adam, and it’s become our go-to spot when we’re craving delicious (yet inexpensive) comfort food. Their menu is short and to-the-point, and - as you can see - a cheese lover’s dream.
My favorite is the Double-Cream Brie Grilled Cheese.

…I have dreams about this sandwich. It’s definitely not the grilled cheese I grew up eating, but it still has that buttery, cheesy goodness that nothing but a perfect grilled cheese can deliver.

Jessi loves their Spicy Tomato Soup (which – FYI – is perfect for dipping your leftover potato chips in).

Everything I’ve had at Earl’s is out of this world good, not to mention I love the cozy, neighborhood-feel of it. Definitely worth the trip uptown.
What favorite childhood food/meal do you still enjoy?

Good lord. A place dedicated to cheese?! I can’t believe I’ve never been there.
I love cheese. Love love love.
Oh goodness, there are so many things on that menu I would love. Like right now - including that brie grilled cheese!
I still love mac and cheese when I want something homey. My mom used to make a homemade stovetop version all the time when I was a kid, so now it instantly reminds me of home whenever I eat a good mac and cheese.
