Sometimes, girls just have to be the crazy emotional beings we were created to be. And what better way to do that than by listening to those songs? We all have ‘em, and after a conversation about this last week with Jessi we found that we share many of the same (especially this one). So to round out her post from last week, here are a few more songs that just scream all things girlie.
Stars - Window Bird. This is one of those I-don’t-really-know-what-this-song-is-about-but-I’m-obsessed-with-it-anyway songs, but it’s just really cute and sort of…whimsical.
The Cardigans – Lovefool. Major props to the DJ who played this on Saturday night…you had my girlfriends and I singing out loud like the girlie freaks we are.
Via Audio - We Can Be Good. Girl singing about a dude = automatic girl anthem.
Tori Amos - A Sorta Fairytale. No explanation necessary.
Vanessa Carlton - White Houses. This song is almost too girlie…in the best possible sense, of course.
Florrie - Give Me Your Love. One of my favorites because it’s cute yet sassy. Just like me, duh.
Frou Frou - Let Go. I’m almost embarrassed because this one is just over-the-top girlie (HELLO Jude Law in The Holiday), but…whatev.

Pretty much anything by Taylor Swift. Almost embarrassing. But I can’t stop listening.

other girly favorites… (although i noticed going through my itunes my FAVORITE favorite music is all by men) : anna nalick Breathe, marina & the diamonds I Am Not A Robot, some adele, flo + the machine.. and i have a huge soft spot for 90’s country girl rock. as in, the soundtrack to Where The Heart Is. it’s cool.
Just went and listened to all of these songs. My iTunes will be getting a workout this afternoon! My “omg I’m a girl” song is anything by Spice Girls or “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips.
