Yesterday, I spent some quality time with my biffs.
(…remind me to never use that term again. Ahem.)
After a lovely morning at church and a 30-minute walk heading uptown, Jessi and I met up with Erica for some lunch action. We ate at Pret – one of my favorite fast-food-but-not-really-fast-food joints.
I tried something new this time – the Summer Crunchy Wrap. Delicious!
Clearly I’m on a wrap kick lately, which I don’t foresee ending any time soon. This one in particular was packing: tomato, avocado, carrot, beet, garbanzo beans, hummus, cucumber, red pepper, and spinach. Not to shabby.
After lunch Erica and I began walking to the park, and I also began to whine about tell her how badly my feet have been hurting lately. She immediately stopped in her tracks and demanded that I pick up a pair of Toms shoes. In her words, “wearing them is like getting a constant foot massage!”
So buy them I did.
Not only are the shoes ridiculously comfortable, but – as you may already know – for every purchase, Toms gives a pair to a child in need. It’s the ultimate win-win, if you ask me. So thanks for forcing me to get Toms, Er. What would I do without you?
In an effort to extend my gratitude, I convinced Erica to try something that’s a favorite of mine: Tasti D-lite!
Some people might deem Tasti-D as not being as “healthy” as frozen yogurt or being full of “chemicals.” Let’s just say I’m not one of those people, and I’m pretty sure Erica isn’t either 😉
We wrapped up our day with some r&r in Madison Square Park…
…before heading back to the bungalow to wrap up a wonderful weekend.
I have quite a lot on my plate for this week (especially since I’m getting ready to go away this weekend, eeee!), so it’s back to work for me. Ta ta, loves. xoxo G
What’s your favorite and/or most comfortable pair of shoes??
I’ve been wanting to get TOMS! This just pushes me toward doing that even more :). I love my sperrys!
Maybe I’m just not walking enough, but my Mick Fanning Reef Sandals are hands down the most comfortable shoes I wear on a regular basis.
I imagine if I had to go a VERY long distance, though, I’d just give in and throw on sneaks.
I love Tasti D’Lite, chemicals schemicals! The most comfortable pair of shoes I own are definitely my Fit Flops! I won’t lie, they are fugly but when I wear them, it feels like I’m walking on a marshmallow!
I love my Toms, too! Did you know they make Tiny Toms?! I melt when I see them.

I love my Vibram 5 finger shoes as far as comfort goes but wearing them in public always brings a little too much attention…

And I love wearing my FiveFingers. I don’t care how stupid they look. They are amazing.

Eh sometimes you have to eat worry free! I’m a chip diva! I think Toms are so cute I have always wanted them or Sperrys because I don’t have any comfy shoes I walked around the baseball game barefoot the other day because my flipflops hurt my back too bad!
I love Toms! I have 4 pairs (three are glitters, I might have a problem) and they are my favorite comfy shoes!
My Rainbow flip flops come in at a close second though!
I think CT missed the boat on Toms. I don’t know anyone who wears ’em. Maybe I’ll have to start a new friend up in here. We’re also totally lacking on the fro-yo department too. I’ve never been to a tasti d-lite !

I was so close to buying a pair of TOMS when I was on vacation last week. Since I had already spent a ton of money on other stuff, i decided to hold off. But I willg et a pair eventually. I think it is AWESOME that they give a pair of shoes to someone in need, too :)!

I JUST BOUGHT A PAIR OF TEAL TOMS AND I LOVE THEM. My roommate suggested I get a pair for when I go abroad (and will be doing a lot of walking) so I bought them and I haven’t been able to take them!!
Everyone wears toms around campus because they’re so comfortable. I wear my sperry’s and yellow box sandals.
Oh my gosh, Toms Shoes are seriously to die for, insanely comfortable! Right now I’ve been wearing my Sanuk Yoga Mat flip-flops 24/7, sanuk makes the nicest sandals, perfect for summer.
And totally agree that Tasti D-lite is awesome

I LOVE Pret! I ate there practically everyday when I lived in London, I’m so happy there are some in the states, I may have to come to NY just for that!
R&R in a park in NYC sounds pretty darn fab if you ask me! Especially with a “bff” 😉
I can’t get on the Toms bandwagon..maybe I’ll warm up to the idea over time…

I’ve been thinking about buying Toms for a long time. But since I have yet to find a full time job, my shopping privileges are gone :).
I think my cowboy boots are so comfy! I lived in them in University. Now I work in a hospital, which requires comfy shoes that are NOT cowboy boots!
I love how your pictures come out on your blog!! I live in my Sperry boat shoes! I really want TOMS though, every time I go into Urban they make their way into my hands lol.

I used to despise Tom’s, but I think they are a must for me working and living in the city. I also love Reef flip flops. Other ones just aren’t supportive and cushiony enough!

Girl, I think this post has convinced ME to get a pair of Toms. They sound amazing! Right now my comfiest pair of shoes are my Uggs. I used to be such an Ugg hater, but that all changed when I got a pair. 😛

I love Toms! I just got pair for my b-day, yay!
I am a flip flop girl and Yellow Box flip flops are so comfortable! Unfortunately I learned on a trip to Disney that they’re not great of a lot of walking though they really messed up my foot for a few days-it might also be in part to my vigorous walking pace=/
If I’m going to wear flats, I always buy the Blowfish brand. It’s like wearing slippers!!

Ohh I love Pret! I used to go there all the time in London and I miss having one in SF! I’m very intrigued by how comfortable you say that Toms are! They aren’t really my style but it would be nice to have a comfortable pair of shoes! My favorite pair of shoes are the perfect brown, just the right amount of strappy and 5 inches tall. I love them. My most comfortable are probably a pair of J.Crew flip flops!
I bought a pair of Tom’s last month for my vacation and have not looked back. I can’t wait to get another pair!

I just bought a sparkly pink pair of TOMS! I visited my BFF in Austin and I told her I had never seen so many macbooks or TOMS in my life! She convinced me to try a pair and they are soo comfy.
I’m also a fan of toms. Love my black sparklies, but I am covering the cream crochet ones for the summer!!
