…is sometimes to just not write at all.
…because sometimes I want to blog, but there are too many thoughts swirling around, and not enough brain-power left to sort them.
So why not share the random images I come across and decide to save?
Some of them make me think.
Some make me laugh.
Some make me hungry.
And some of them are just fun to look at.
Words are overrated anyway.

How do you combat writer’s block?

This post is perfect for an relaxing Friday night! How did you get the rounded corners?
It’s an option in Windows Live Writer!
I would have never known you had writer’s block if you didn’t tell me. I loved this post!!
I never understood writer’s block until starting to blog. You overcame it beautifully.
I come up with something goofy or pretty or just use a fun quote I love
I love the way you handled it because each image told a story.
I just posted something very similar to this. When I can’t find the words, I just let the pictures speak. It’s a nice change!
Love the pictures that you shared:) When I have writer’s block, I’ll do one of a few things:
1. Give up for the day and try again tomorrow
2. Do a stream of consciousness write and see what comes out of that
3. Go on a walk/do yoga/do pilates to clear my mind
That is one confident cat!!
i save good pictures/images on my computer too! i just love making pretty backgrounds with them
)
ahahah this is a PERFECT way to combat writers block!!! when im feeling the block I just put embarrassing pictures of myself on my blog- at least I look funny?
that cat is making me verrrry nervous
hehe same, I’m hoping it’s photoshopped…otherwise it’s animal cruelty, right?
I definitely combat writer’s block by turning to music. I have an obsession with lyrics & famous quotes and have found them to create a little clarity in that clouded mind of mine!
Have a fantastic Saturday, love
Love this post, G! I’m also guilty of saving random pics from the Internet because I love them so much.
Rock on!!!
When I get writer’s block, I just step away for a while and come back to it later. But pretty pictures like these are always good for inspiration too.
I wish I could get my hands on that bow wallet. It’s so cute!
I love the picture of the skateboarding turtle!! So cute! Thanks for sharing!
I love random pictures!! Perfect post
As a professional writer, writer’s block is not okay. Sooo I try to combat it by:
- taking a break
- not taking a break
- morning pages (aka what I call brain vomit, inspired by The Artist’s Way)
- reading
- blogging
- journaling from my own perspective or a character’s perspective
- reading an inspirational writing book
- reading a kick-in-the-pants writing book
those cupcakes look yummy
