oh, hi!

I'm the girl, Gracie. Here at GML you can follow my journey of dreaming, working, eating, loving, dancing, and blogging my way through life in NYC.

all I want for Christmas.

Until I was about 13, I would make a colorful and festive Christmas list every year.

On the top half of a piece of printer paper I’d draw the scene of a cozy living room with gifts under the tree and stockings hung on the mantel. Peeking out of the fireplace would be Santa’s feet. I’d finish the portrait with colored pencils – darkly outlining each item and then shading it in lightly (you know what technique I’m referring to, don’t you?).

Finally, on the bottom half of the page I’d list the toys and gadgets I hoped for, such as Littlest Pet Shop and Take Care of Me Twins.

Every December since then, I’ve missed compiling my annual Christmas list. Thankfully now I have my very own blog, so I can once again wish for Christmas gifts! Unfortunately, though - at age 23 - they really are just wishes.

Gracie’s Christmas 2010 Wish List

1. Roller blades. Seriously, how fun is roller blading?! And whoever said it was “uncool” anyway? It’s my mission to bring roller blading back…just you watch.

2. A mini food processor. Because I want to make my own nut butters like all the cool kids do!

3. A snood. I wanted a snood for Christmas last year, but they were nowhere to be found (does anyone know where I can find one?).

4. An aerolatte. Not because I drink lattes, but because I just love frothed milk. Seriously.

5. An iTunes gift card. I’ve mentioned before how I don’t feel comfortable stealing music, so an iTunes gift card would certainly come in handy.

6. MAC Red. I’ve finally become confident enough to wear red lipstick out of the house, and MAC Red is the gold standard that I must acquire.

7. Adora disks (preferably a lifetime’s supply). I don’t seem to get enough calcium without a supplement and, well, chocolate is my supplement of choice.

8. Tiffany Bow Pendant. Now this would complete my collection. It’s only $1900, NBD.

I’d be lying if I said the list didn’t go on, but these days most of my “wishes” are events/opportunities rather than material goods. Butwhofallsinloveandlandstheirdreamjobinthesamemonthanyway? :)

What’s on your Christmas wish list?
