Weekly Workout Recap | GirlMeetsLife.com

So I missed a couple of weeks’ workout recaps - oops! I’ll pick up with this past week…

Monday 4/6 - 35 minutes Stair Master, 20 minutes weights
Tuesday 4/7 - 45 minute SoulCycle class
Wednesday 4/8 - off
Thursday 4/9 - 45 minute SoulCycle class
Friday 4/10 - 45 minute SoulCycle class
Saturday 4/11 - off
Sunday 4/12 - off

So as much as I love SoulCycle, I’m really going to focus on switching up my workouts more over the next few weeks (I typically try to keep SC to one class a week, but clearly failed on that this past week, ha). I use ClassPass, so I really have no excuse to not be trying more new classes!

Do you find it difficult to keep your workouts varied? How do you usually switch things up?

I used to have total workout ADD and thought I always had to switch things up - until I discovered Barre3. It’s honestly the perfect balance of EVERYTHING (cardio, strength, stretching). It’s certainly not easy by any means — but it’s also not exhausting. I’ve honestly never loved working out so much until I discovered it. I just checked the website and it looks like there’s a NYC location:

not sure if this is near you. but if it is you should totally check it out!

I have such a hard time varying my workouts. I use the gym in our apartment and usually walk/run and lift weights. Lately with the nice weather, I’ve been playing basketball and tennis. I definitely prefer to play sports for my cardio because I dread running on the treadmill at the gym!

i don’t have Class Pass, although i’d love to check out some new studios, b/c i run outside and workout in my building gym…but i’d still be down to do a workout with you soon! :)

Even though you did a lot of SoulCycle at least you were out there killing it on your workouts! Thanks for sharing. That is such a good idea, no better way to stay accountable. Keep up the good work!
