vlog: NYC diaries - some q&a.

The #1 thing I get emails and questions about is related to living in/moving to New York, so I’m going to start chipping away at those in my vlogs! (By the way here’s a previous one I don’t think I ever shared on GML, oops).

In this video I answer some recent questions I’ve gotten, from dating to my advice for someone new to the city.

FOMO IS REAL! Ugh I didn’t experience it my first few months here but then I made great friends, summer came, and I wanted to do everything. It can be such a challenge because the city is so alive, but you live and you learn! In the end, nothing is worse than experiencing major burnout.

Don’t even get me started on dating. I’ve avoided it for the most part so your encouragement is great! Maybe it’s time I download Tinder again ha! You make such a good point about being approachable though…I’m that person who never takes off her sunglasses and this is so bad! All it takes is a few seconds of eye contact on the street or subway and BAM!

I couldn’t agree more about simply diving into NYC life. Once I made the decision to move, I didn’t allow myself to second-guess the decision. I just plowed ahead with all the planning and found myself on a plane with 4 suitcases 7 months later moving to the city of my dreams. Terrifying but 10000% worth it.

Ok this comment is long enough :) Thanks for a great Q&A video!
