style: crane & lion activewear {+ giveaway}.

Let me be honest with you for a second. Even though I love fitness and I love fashion, for a while I could never fully get on board with the whole higher end activewear trend that has appeared over the past few years. I didn’t understand how it could be that much better than the workout clothes I’ve been wearing for so long.

…until now. Seriously. I totally get it.

I never realized how much my crappy not-so-haute exercise clothes cramped my style. Because of the look and cheap material, I’d find myself going directly to and from the gym, and then changing to go back out again. But now I’m learning that the right activewear can actually be a huge timesaver because I can squeeze in errands and even meetings before and after my workouts.

Crane & Lion activewear

In addition to making my life easier, I was surprised by how much quality activewear makes me feel so much better. Unlike my college gym shorts and an old t-shirt, fitted/feel-good workout clothes motivate me more to kick butt at the gym.

That gym outfit is awesome! The most important thing I look for is comfort, and fabric that’s not too heavy or too light.

  3. Nicole G says

Without a doubt I care the most about comfort. If I’m too busy focusing on how uncomfortable my clothes feel, I am NOT getting a good workout!

  4. Jordan D. says

It’s really important that workout gear be durable and fashionable. If I feel comfortable and confident in my workout clothes, I’m more likely to get up and work out lol. Thanks for the giveaway!

I definitely look for comfort most when I’m shopping for active wear. Transitional pieces don’t hurt either, it’s so nice to be a able to run a few errands after a workout!

Most important thing for me is fit…it doesn’t hurt if its wearable beyond the workout too though!

  7. Gabi says

The most important thing for me is leggings that don’t stretch out/ fall down during a workout! They need to fit well!

  8. says

Fit is definitely the most important thing - the worst is spending a yoga class worrying about moving pieces or spending a whole spin class adjusting something.

Durability! I hate when some article of fitness clothing falls apart after a few washes. Another very important quality I look for is…quality, especially with leggings/tights. Nothing is worse than see-through tights!

  10. Ilene says

I look for fit above all - I don’t want to be tugging my shirt down or the waistband of my leggings up, and I want my leggings to be thick enough so I don’t feel like my underwear is showing through. Fit + comfort + style are what make it for me!

I love Crane and Lion. Their wrap sweaters allow you to dress up or dress down. I appreciate comfort and support in my workout clothes.
