As a little girl I was always playing dress up to look more like an adult. Fake jewelry, plastic high heels, and Barbie lip gloss.
And now as a grown woman in my twenties, it seems I’m channeling my inner school girl.
Well, maybe rebellious school girl with dreams of New York City would be a more appropriate description.

Anyway, I’ve been on a major (over the) knee highs kick lately. I love the way they look with tights underneath – definitely a look I’ll be rocking straight into winter.

I really love the pop of color the tights bring. I’m all about some black on black, but that’s a fun way to infuse a bit of color into the outfit.
agreed! I’m usually always wearing neutrals, so something like tights/accessories is a great way to add color 🙂

yes, it’s my go-to especially for a night out when I don’t want to carry a ton! My mom actually got it for me as a Christmas gift last year 🙂

I was totally the same way, always seeking to look older and now I’m loving the school girl inspired look too! I love the idea of over the knee socks but I haven’t been able to figure out how to wear them so I love the idea of wearing tights underneath! Great idea!
I WISH I was as gutsy as you when it comes to fashion. Love this on you! I think NYC is one place though where no one would give you the side eye if you wore something out of the “norm.”
