(…AKA, mostly food pics. That okay?)
Over the weekend my two college best friends/roommates Chrissy and Nicole came to visit me! Back in the day we went by “GNC” – Gracie, Nicole, Chrissy. We thought we were just the coolest, haha.
On Saturday it was gorgeous out, so we spent as much of the day outside as possible. First we walked to brunch at Philip Marie.
After brunch we headed downtown and got our shop on in Soho.
The shopping apparently took a lot out of us, so we headed back to my apartment to relax for a few hours. Snacks were in order, clearly.
I made us some guacamole with chips and (sprinkle-less) Cake Batter Blondies.

Then we got ready for a fun night out. I took the girls to Lure Fishbar for dinner, which was definitely a treat. Their menu has everything from sushi to seafood to steak, so we decided to do a “sampler” meal and split four appetizers.
My favorite was the Crispy Rice Cakes topped with Spicy Tuna. So SO good.
We also got:
Smoked Salmon Pizza - Grilled Flatbread, Cream Cheese, Red Onion, Dill
Crab Cakes - Smoked Pineapple, Jalapeño, Sweet Onion

Tuna Tacos - Cucumber, Avocado, Soy Vinaigrette
We went out for the rest of the night, and it was just like old times.
Well, maybe we’re a little more mature now 😉

How often do you get to see your college friends?
That sounds like lots of fun! I see plenty of friends from college on a somewhat regular basis (once or twice a year) but my closest college friend I haven’t seen in three and a half years! it’s a little sad.

ahhh i had a fab wknd from start to finish…highlight was seeing a childhood friend i haven’t seen in 20 years! i see college friends pretty frequently — my best friend was my college roommate. 🙂
Smoked salmon pizza…whhaaaaat that sounds amazing! I still keep in close touch with my friends from high school, many of whom were my friends through college as well. But I also stay in contact with my college friends too…there’s nothing better than reminiscing on old wild university days with them!
