Small room organization 101: get a clothing rack.
201: behind-the-door shoe storage.
301: make use of every inch of space.
(don’t mind the unfolded clothes - I’m getting there ;))
401: still make it uniquely yours!
I’d post pix of our living room, but it’s still…under construction. But here is our pristine new kitchen, which I cannot wait to get my hands dirty in!
Starting with…smoothies upon smoothies. My mom and dad got me a NutriBullet as a housewarming gift, and…well, how did I ever live without this thing?!
On Friday night Rachel and I took a break from all of the unpacking for a fun night out. First up was Brass Monkey, followed by the newly opened Gilded Lily. Oh, New York nightlife, it was good to see you again.
Today I woke up bright and early to meet up with Jessi to get the décor for our friend Emily’s baby shower.
A trip to Brooklyn, Party City, Target, and lots of pink later – I think we nailed it.
The shower was so much fun. I love getting together with all of my favorite ladies! Baby Arden is going to have lots of amazing aunties.
We ate, opened gifts, played games, and made onesies for Arden. Mine is the “educational” one, haha.
I got home this evening with plans to go out, but my mind and body were telling me to R-E-S-T. So rest I did.
On that note, will leave you with some of my favorite recent devotional snippets.

What’s been a highlight of your weekend so far?
What kitchen appliance can you not live without?

That kitchen is beautiful!
Highlight of the weekend so far? Definitely the amazing pie I had at Four and Twenty Blackbirds today.
The highlight of my weekend - and this is so dorky, is the nap that I took after I taught my Zumba class. After class, I had some lunch, and laid down with the dog, and napped for like two hours. My body SO needed that nap.
The kitchen appliance I can’t live without would probably have to be my blender. I want a nicer one, and I will probably register for one as part of our wedding registry, but I make smoothies in there like 3-4 times a week. It’s so wonderful!
nothing like a good nap!
and yes - blenders are the best. my dream is to own a Vitamix one day!
My parents have one, and I used it when I was at home in June. It’s incredible, it blends everything into this fine soupy mix. So cool! But sooo expensive. Probably will need to register for one of those as well since weddings and babies are the only times you get to get presents for no good reason

Highlight of my weekend: having internet in my new apt after 2 months of making due without! Perfect timing because I stayed in all weekend (I live in Bangkok and this weekend there is a very controversial, snap election. Lots of protesting and some violence.)
Kitchen Appliance: My apartment is only 30 sq meters but still has a tiny kitchen. But I’ve learned to love my waffle maker because its small and fits on the counter. I love making super crunchy hash browns in it. But I want to try other things as well. My blender does not fit on the counter. ;-( Maybe I should look if they sell bullets here in Thailand.
wow, what brought you to Bangkok? must be quite the adventure!

It is an adventure. I came to work with an non-profit a few years ago. I love it! My job is in communications and I get to use my graphic design degree as well. Can’t beat that.
Ah that’s incredible, and so inspiring!
that clothing rack is so awesome! you definitely have to be crafty with a small NYC space. My weekend highlight was finalizing spring break plans with friends last night :)!
Wow, your apartment is turning out great so far! I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished!
Highlight is getting some pictures into some old, empty frames I had laying around and reading for hours
Your new room looks like its already coming together! & the baby onesies are ridiculously cute! The highlight to my weekend was celebrating one of my best friends birthday all weekend long. xx
Thanks for helping me with the decor. I love target adventures with you!
I was in Costco last weekend and they had a live display going of the Vitamix and of course I had no clue the price. So I stood around with many other people and watched her make soup and then a smoothie. I was like in shock when she put pieces of orange, rind and all into the machine. It was amazing and delicious. She asked me if I was interested and I’m thinking “yes” and then I looked further up the display and saw the price and tried to duck and dodge my way outa there
Maybe one day.
