Weekends are always a fun time, but they’re especially great now that I live within walking distance of most of my favorite places in the city.
…like St. Paul’s German Church, where we had an amazing Liberty Sisterhood gathering on Friday.
Followed by a cozy late night dinner at the Meatball Shop.
Then after a few hours of bopping around we ended up at the “neighborhood club.”
In case you missed everyone’s Instagram updates, the weather in the Northeast this weekend was per-fec-tion. No winter coat necessary!
And springy nails to match.
The West Village was doing all sorts of showing off.
We brunched 13 people strong at De Santos.
I’m thankful that Rachel likes splitting meals as much as I do. Why on earth get one entrée when you can have two?
We kicked the new week off right with a visit to the gym on Sunday morning.
(Sunglasses to cover up the post-gym roughness, ha.)
With a weekly Quest Bar restock on the way home, of course.
Spring-ish attire, day two.
Dinner of lazy folk champions.
(This was actually really good!)
Last but not last is the most special part of my weekend. This is Ayanda, the adorable little girl from Zimbabwe that I’m so blessed to sponsoring through Children’s Cup.
I’ll leave you with some inspiration for the week ahead…

What was the highlight of your weekend?

My Sunday morning! I lounged in bed while getting some things done, and it was just what the doctor order. I also did a fun WOD at my CrossFit gym Saturday morning that set my day up on the right foot. Looks like you had a splendid weekend - I hope we get some warmer temps in Duluth (MN) soon!
Looks like a great weekend!! And that’s cool that you can sponsor a little girl
I’ve had the joy of sponsoring a little boy from Honduras and the photo updates make my day!
I love that you are sponsoring a child. It really does make such a difference for your child and their family! I love getting letters from the little girl I sponsor in Cambodia.
My highlight was cleaning out all my kitchen cupboards and cabinets! It’s such a great feeling to have them all clean and organized! Spring must be on the way with all my spring cleaning going on!!
I just tried my first quest bar Friday and I love it!! I just had one for breakfast, too! so good.
Which is your favorite Quest bar?

The new Cookies & Cream! With Chocolate Chip Cookie dough in a close second
Your shoes!!! Where are they from?
Highlight of my weekend = Wine tasting!
I love the last quote by Charles Spurgeon… I always forget that my faith will always come up short but he will always be my ultimate strength in that. I pretty much live off Amy’s organic frozen meals for work. Because, well I’m lazy
As always, a perfect weekend!
I finally stocked up on Quest Bars today too but my GNC was sold out of Cookies & Cream. Boooo. Oh well- thankfully the other flavors are nothing to complain about.
I’m actually shocked that you liked the Amy’s Risotto…for some reason I always assumed it would be gross. I’ll have to give it a shot!
Oh, and I lovelovelove your sparkly phone case. So fun!
sponsoring a child is one of my faith goals this 2014
I ran my first half marathon this weekend, and did it with my best friend!
that’s amazing, congrats!
I have The Meatball Shop near me as well, and you totally inspired me to finally try it out! Any recommendations?
How amazing is the new Cookies & Cream Quest bar? It pretty much skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list!
I always get the chicken meatballs with pesto
it’s especially good on the “kitchen sink” salad!
Yes, I love splitting entrees! My family always shares our food with each other when we go out and eat

I love that you split meals to get two entrees! My boyfriend and I do that all the time it’s a family tradition of mine
