When it comes to shopping, something I’ve definitely inherited from my mom is my love for coupons. What I didn’t inherit from my mom, though, is the ability to actually remember to bring those coupons with me.
In the age of technology where just about anything can be done on a mobile device, the idea of carrying paper coupons around with me just doesn’t come natural to me.
That’s why I was so excited when I learned about Cartwheel by Target – an app that includes over 700 offers (coupons), and can be used on your desktop, tablet, mobile web or iPhone and Droid apps.
One of the reasons I already loved Target is their affordable prices, and the Cartwheel app helps me to save even more. For years Target has been my one-stop-shop for so many things – clothes, beauty products, home goods, work supplies, etc. In fact, I recently moved to a new New York City apartment, and Target was the first place I went to get my new place all furnished and organized.

Some cool details about Cartwheel:
* Cartwheel can only be used on in-store purchases.
* Using either iPhone or Droid native apps, you can scan any barcode in store to see if that item has a Cartwheel offer on it.
* You can use your Facebook login to sign up with Cartwheel. This allows you to see what offers your friends have been using, etc. (but you can also keep your info private!).
* You can also use your Target.com to access Cartwheel.
* You CAN use Cartwheel with any other Target discounts or coupons, manufacturers’ coupons and your REDcard discount.
* Multi-use offers – you are able to use any offer on your list as many times as you wish until the offer expires (with the following exceptions: limit of 4 items per offer, per transaction; limit of 6 Cartwheel scans per day).
* Single scan barcode - each barcode generated by Cartwheel is unique to the guest and holds all of the offers on their Cartwheel list.
* Badges - badges are a fun way to earn more spots on your Cartwheel list. They are awarded for reaching savings milestones, interacting with Cartwheel, and via social sharing. For each badge that is earned, a new spot on your Cartwheel list is opened.
* Cartwheel collections - Cartwheel collections are curated lists of offers that make it easy for the guest on the go to add items to her list. The collections are created to support seasonal offerings and categorical offers (grocery, women’s apparel, baby items, etc.).

I love how I can easily scan my coupon selections through Cartwheel! That function makes it so easy for me to check out my purchases.
I like being able to just scan the barcode off my phone. I used the app the other day. I only saved like 40 cents, but I still felt cool
and now I know it works!
Definitely just the fact that it’s coupons. For TARGET!

What I like most about Cartwheel is that you can scan the bar code right in the store and see if there is a deal on that item. So helpful when you are comparing two like items. great way to save.
