This weekend started a bit early by way of a date night with Monica on Thursday. Sports bar, nachos, and an appearance by none other than RC – check, check, and check!

I spent 99% of the day on Friday in my apartment working and being lazy. Hey, it happens.
Then it was time to get all dolled up…

…for a Friday night out, of course.

Saturday started out typically enough with Jessi and I grabbing a quick grubfest breakfast.

And then, we were off! I haven’t had an adventure-ish Saturday in the city in a while, and it was so fun to just wander around, hit up some of our favorite bars, and be silly with my friends.

It was a pretty early night in, which I wrapped up by watching an informative documentary while falling asleep.
On Sunday I went to church in the morning, followed by lunch at Five Napkin Burger with Monica. I typically go for “real” burgers, but I had heard great things about their veggie burger and wanted to give it a try. The verdict - SO good!

I wrapped up the weekend with church in the evening and a nice long walk home. As much as I can’t wait for fall, I can’t say I hate this gorgeous summer evening weather…

What was the highlight of your weekend?
Anyone else kinda sorta want to be BFFs with Katy Perry?

I ate at 5 Napkin last night with my mom! I also passed a Liberty Church truck yesterday in Soho and thought of you.
That’s our morning service! You should come in next time xx
I actually really want to come! I’m always afraid of not fitting in but that’s lame.
Maybe in the next few weeks?
Alyssa - you definitely will! I have seen your blog and your such a cool sweet girl. I go to the night service at Union Square at 7pm. If you ever want to come you can sit with me!
You both are so sweet and made my Monday morning. I will definitely come, and I genuinely cannot wait to meet you both!
<3!! can’t wait!
You should totally come to Liberty!!!! It is seriously the most inclusive and welcoming community of people!!

Highlight of my weekend was hanging out with you!
Looks like a fun weekend! The highlight of my weekend was probably all the new products I spotted while out shopping!

Highlight of my weekend: definitely church last night and having an adventure day on Saturday filled with taking photos, working on my blog, exploring the Upper West Side, and working on my blog!! xx

I was pretty neutral about Katy Perry… UNTIL I SAW THAT DOCUMENTARY! lol. I both laughed & cried my eyes out. Totally want to be BFFs with her.
haha, same!! at first i hated myself for crying but the part where she broke down right before going on stage…I just couldn’t help it LOL.
Nicole @ not before my tea says
It looks like your life could be a documentary of its own. 😉 But seriously.
The highlight of my weekend was a race around my lovely city (Chicago), but your posts make me wish I could go visit NYC!
hehe, you are sweet!
i LOVE chicago - really want to pay a visit there again soon!!
You should seriously consider doing weekend Vlogs…they would be such a blast to watch! I’ve thought about doing them but never want to make my friends feel uncomfortable by videotaping them. haha. They’re used to pictures but video is a whole different ball-game!
And your weekend posts always leave me itching to make another NYC trip. I love LA but there really is nothing like that city..
It’s funny you mentioned that because I’ve been thinking about doing vlogs lately! they really are just a little bit awkward though, haha. I think getting my friends in on it would actually make it more fun! thanks for the suggestion
xoxo
