summertime happiness.

I love me some Lana, and the Cedric Gervais remix of Summertime Sadness is still one of my favorite jams. Thankfully, though, this summer has been anything but sad. Instead, it’s been full of fun, good friends, adventures, and then some.

This past week has been a particularly good one. First of all, one of my purchases from last week finally arrived. I love my new Nixon Re-Run watch even more than I thought I would!

I’ve also stayed on track with going to the gym every day, and it has literally made me feel like a new woman. I have more energy than ever! I’m even getting healthier with my meals, like this breakfast from the other day.

…but let’s not get too carried away 😉 This girl still loves her (barbeque) dinner dates.

That would be cheese grits, buffalo shrimp, pulled pork quesadillas, and bacon mac ’n cheese spring rolls from Southern Hospitality. Uh, yeah.

In the fashion arena, I’m trying to squeeze in as many summer looks as I can before the season is over.

White sun dress – check.

Cut-up tank + denim skirt – check and check.

This summer I’ve also been making it a point to catch up with as many friends as possible. Good thing New York has no shortage of cafes…

…or night clubs. Our friend Graham visited New York from Cali for the first time this week, so we made sure to show him a fun night out.

Last but definitely not least, this summer I’ve been learning so much more about God’s heart and what He has for my life…

How would you rate your summer so far?
Anything new you’ve learned/experienced?

I’m learning to leave the past in the past and move forward into NEW and exciting things. :)

    Love that white dress btw!

I can’t believe the summer season is almost over. It’s almost August!!! I would love to come to NYC (or even better yet, live there) because of how many cafes and places there are to go!

I’m loving both of those outfits! And I totally get what you mean about going to the gym… it definitely energizes you more — this was the first week in literally forever that I wasn’t able to go :( felt bad, but what can ya do!

Eee, I’m in love with Summertime Sadness, too! As for what I’ve learned, I think just to not sweat the small stuff. :) Love your post! Great job going to the gym! xoxo
