Look who came to Montauk with meeeee!

That would be my gorgeous cousin Liz, who also happens to be one of my best friends 🙂 I was so excited when she decided to come visit this weekend, and she definitely picked a good one.
Some highlights included…
…an amazing lobster roll from Duryea’s.

…a face paint party for part two of Jessi’s birthday celebration.

…eating our body weight in trail mix.

…as well as burgers, dogs, Rice Krispy Treats, and Red Velvet cake for our beach BBQ. Yeah, we don’t mess around.

…aaand more face war paint.

…there’s always that quick stop at Sloppy Tuna.

…and apparently someone took sloppy to another level on Saturday night by spilling their drink all over me. Thanks for that.

The weekend ended on a great note with pop up church, a relaxing ride back to the city, and USQ church (with an amazing message – definitely be on the lookout for the podcast!).
As always, will leave you with some Monday inspiration!

What was the highlight of your weekend?

All of my friends are going to Sloppy Tuna/Montauk this weekend, but I have to travel for work! If you see a group of fratty boys, say hi for me! 🙂

RACHELLE! So so nice meeting you! It honestly made me so happy 🙂 You’re such a sweetie! xoxo
The highlight of my weekend was going shopping with my mom and just hanging out with her a lot! You guys really don’t mess around for beach BBQs especially the nice bottle of Smirnoff haha! No beach BBQ is complete without drinks!

Sounds like a fun weekend. I’m a frequent reader, and I just wanted to mention that I (and likely others) find the war paint mentions kind of offensive as it’s appropriating indigenous culture. I know that likely wasn’t your intention, but I’d just like to point it out so you are aware.
Here’s more context, if you’re interested: http://nativeappropriations.com/2010/04/but-why-cant-i-wear-a-hipster-headdress.html
Hi Tara! Thanks for filling me in. I definitely had no idea or intent of being offensive, but I really do appreciate you sharing this info with me.
Um, I want to come to one of your beach BBQs! Seriously. It looks like you had a blast!
And I’m convinced that good looks must just run in your family- add your cousin to the list of gorgeous people that you’re related to!
come to NY and join us! 😉 and you are too sweet!!
Sounds like such a fun weekend! 🙂
