a gml week in review.

What a great week it’s been so far!

Usually I try to keep my work weeks on the more simple side (since my weekends tend to be a bit exhausting), but this one was the perfect balance of relaxation, productivity, and fun.

Monday.
This was probably the most laid back day of my week. I worked all day and then spent some time hanging out at Monica’s in the afternoon. I also enjoyed a little bit of online shopping, which typically isn’t the greatest of ideas…

…but this time it was to use up this Ulta gift card I’ve had for a few months. I got some great new makeup that I can’t wait to try.

And - confession time - I may have treated myself to one more thing.

I get on these watch kicks from time to time and…well…sorry I’m not sorry. This one can’t arrive soon enough!

Tuesday.
Another typical day of working from home, and then in the evening I headed to Brooklyn to visit Erica. How perfect is her new apartment?!

Exposed brick = swoon.

We spent hours just catching up on life and enjoying a delicious (summery) dinner.

Wednesday.
I started the day with a nice 30-minute workout, which I’ve actually done every single day this week. I know…Who am I?

I must say, though, that it has felt great to get my body moving first thing in the morning.

Another great addition to my morning was this snippet from my Wednesday devo.

For lunch I headed downtown to meet up with my roomie Brittany at Peels. Our schedules are pretty different so we haven’t gotten to spend much time together, so it was really great getting to catch up. Not to mention I love Peels and their Gobblecado sandwich…

On Wednesday night I was supposed to have Community Group but had a splitting headache and had to stay in. So TV and a 10pm bedtime it was.

Thursday.
Same old same old with work all day. In the evening headed down to my friend Rhema’s for a fun girls’ night.

I decided to whip out the good ol’ maxi dress (but not sure why I look so depressed? ha).

We enjoyed wine and cheese and bread galore.

My contribution was dessert, of course.

Those would be Pretzel Cookies with Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chips, and they turned out amazing! You can find the recipe here.

Friday.
And now, here we are! I think that may have been my lengthiest life recap yet ;)

I’m off to meet up with Monica and head out east, and I couldn’t be more excited for this weekend in Montauk. The rest of the week’s recap will come on Monday, but until then…

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND! xoxo

Love how much you make the time to spend with your girls and plan evenings together, it sounds like bliss! I am definitely a morning workout girl. I get my tough workout done in the morning and then take it easy with a bike or rollerblade in the evening.

Ahh, I love ULTA! Such a great store with vast selections, plus, they have excellent coupons that can be combined with manufacturer’s coupons!

I’ve been trying to walk by dog for a good amount of time in the mornings because it really does feel good to just start the day moving. It makes me feel so much more productive. My days seem to look like tanning, Elmo time, and 11PM bedtimes… Of course, wake up to Kelly and Michael with a nice cup of coffee :D

I LOVE the brick wall look! I saw a house on House Hunters like it in NYC. So cute!

I love getting a sneak peek at other’s daily routine! Mine has been bananas crazy lately, and the past few weeks have flown by. I usually sneak in my “workout” by walking to and from work, and a run in the evenings about once a week.

And thank you for your playlist you posted, I’ve just made it on spotify and am listening to it right now! Love new music. Have a great weekend!

I LOVE your blog. It is always such a fun read and has great inspirational stuff on it. What devotionals do you use? I love the excerpts from them!
