extra special.

Do you ever have those weeks? Those weeks that include extra special additions?

Because for me, this week is one of them. It all started on Sunday when we arrived at The Leadbelly to find this extra special touch welcoming our guests.

It turned out to be such a great brunch! If you’re ever in New York on a Sunday and looking for a place to enjoy good food, a cozy setting, and meet some new friends – we’d love for you to join us.

Also to make note of from Sunday – the No Pants Subway Ride day. I don’t know I’d call this “extra special,” but it was definitely…um, different.

Nothing extravagant happened on Monday and Tuesday other than working from home and enjoying the simple comforts, like sipping tea in an extra special over-sized mug. Seriously – what is it about these huge mugs that makes tea/coffee taste so much better?

Oh, and then of course there’s my Fresh Diet meals. They make me feel so spoiled! Extra special x10.

(Walnut Crusted Chicken Apricot Roulade with Roasted Kabocha Squash, Wild Mushrooms, and Sauteed Kale)

Yesterday was an extra special day for myself, Jessi, and FreelyBe. I can’t go into too much detail, but we have some really exciting things in the works right now. Fingers crossed! I’ve really grown to love our Wednesdays, which essentially consist of walking all over the city from meeting to meeting. Our destinations aren’t too shabby either. In this case: Hudson Hotel.

I don’t know exactly what the rest of the week will hold, but with the plans I have in place I have a feeling there will be some more extra special things in store…

What little things take your week from being average to extra special?

I have a theory about the big mugs. The contents taste better because there is more to taste :) So much better!

  • Sounds like a beautiful week! I totally agree on the huge mug account, there’s just something so comfortable about being able to snuggle with a huge cup of something warm (and yes, I do mean snuggle.). The brunch looks lovely too, congratulations on the amazing growth of freely be, it’s inspiring! :)

  • I hope you have an extra special weekend as well :)

  • Am I the only one that is high disturbed by the, no pants subway ride? Next time I’m visiting, I’m thinking twice about sitting on those seats! Love that big mug!

With my crazy semester, a big mug of green tea and some quiet time to journal makes my week extra special! Have a great weekend :]

  • Sounds like you’ve had a great week - i hope it continues over the weekend!

I went back to school this week, so have been too busy trying to find a balance with that and work and life to enjoy too much! This week though…

  • I love giant mugs, I think it’s the fact that you have to use two hands to drink it and you feel the warmth from the mug in your hands and in your tummy. Just an idea :)

    • haha I was just going to say something along those lines. Also, they just make me feel all fancy shmancy and like I should be in Gilmore Girls or somethin’ :P

And omgness my virgin eyes~lol, those people especially the men need at least some long underwear, it’s too much for my beautiful peepers.

  • I would say a delicious coffee drink takes my day to the “next level.” Or a surprise phone call from a best friend/family member. Or a delicious dessert!!!

  • Lo

um probably the surprise raise I received or new the bikini I purchased for spring break. I am still dying over the no pants subway day…I don’t know whether its scary or just hilarious.
