dos and don’ts.

DO: take advantage of the colder weather to rock your favorite boots.

DON’T: have them be these boots.

DO: save money by making your own oat flour. Oats + food processor, easy enough!

DON’T: use that oat flour as a replacement for regular flour in Classic Pumpkin Bread.
(it was okay, but not as good as regular ol’ all purpose).

DON’T: go to an overly packed sports bar full of sweaty guys on a Saturday.

DO: admit that you don’t really like sports, and go somewhere where you can actually sit and enjoy your company. And grub, of course.

What’s a do/don’t you’ve learned recently?

LOVE your boots - where are they from? If I could, I would wear boots year round, def my favorite kind of shoe!

For the oat flour, was it strictly just oats in the processor or did you have to add anything else - that’s a great saving idea!

Macy’s…last year though :/ But I’m sure they have something at least similar now!

I only used oats. I’m not sure if anything else is supposed to go in oat flour, but it worked for me!

Don’t: Go out to a sketchy bar on a Saturday night, just because your friends enjoy going there. It is not required in the friendship agreement.

Do: Feel okay about staying home on a Saturday night to have a Skype-date with your LDR boyfriend. It’s the closest thing to a date you’ll get for a while.

Do: Show pride for your love of winter. Summer is too hot and full of mosquitos, anyway.

Don’t: Drive like it’s still summer. It’s icey!

I think my food processor is on it’s last leg….it will not make oat flour if I try. Instead it pushes the oats around and mixes them really well ;)

Are those Frye boots? Love the color.

I was recently informed that I didn’t get a job that I really wanted. I was doing the ugly cry when my friends gently reminded me that it wasn’t meant to be and there was something better right around the corner.

DO: Allow your feelings to be acknowledged.
DON’T: Waste too much time wallowing because you just might miss your next big thing!

I was over it in about 30 minutes. :)
