clothing swap, take two.

Last night, our Connect Group did a clothing swap.

You might remember that I did a similar clothing swap with some girlfriends last year. This time around, though, we made a little game out of it.

Here’s how it worked. After putting all of our clothes out on display and browsing through them for about five minutes, each girl picked a random number and lined up accordingly. Starting with the lowest number, we each took turns picking out one item that we wanted. We made the rounds four times before calling a “free for all,” where we could then grab whatever clothes we wanted.

The twist in the game was that if you wanted something another girl already picked, you could “steal” it from here, with each item only able to be stolen twice (make sense?). But as the kind, generous souls that we are – none of us stole anything from each other.

…I may or may not be to blame for that after declaring at the beginning that I wouldn’t steal from anyone, in hopes that they’d show me the same grace. Ahem.

My winnings:

I LOVE the clothes I walked away with! The majority of them are actually from blog reader Amy, who clearly has great style (hi Amy :)).

Like last time, any clothes left over will be donated to Restore - an organization in New York whose cause is to rehabilitate survivors of sex trafficking.

How often do you clean out your closet?
What do you do with clothes you want to get rid of?
