cause for celebration.

I love a good celebration.

Give me just about any reason to celebrate…big or small…and I’ll take full advantage of it. I mean, in the city that thrives on the “work hard, play hard” mentality, can you really blame me?

On Thursday I celebrated the long-overdue reunion with one of my best friends from college - the Long Island princess herself – Amanda!

Oh, us.

And then of course, 99% of the time celebrating for me includes some sort of baking; like yesterday’s Sugar Cookie Bars (found via Pinterest, naturally) for our first FreelyBe volunteer meeting.

Then we celebrated the onset of the weekend by switching things up and going to a comedy show. I can’t say I’ve been to many comedy shows in my day, but it you’re in New York and looking to check one out – Comedy Cellar is a great choice. Legit LOLs/borderline ROTFLs, people.

We rounded out the night by celebrating good friends, good music, and just being silly at Anchor and WIP.

But the real cause for celebration? Well, it looks like the always-sort-of-iffy search for a new apartment is officially over for Erica and I.

We’ll be moving on or around June 22, and we couldn’t be more excited about our new digs.

Now I’m off to celebrate Saturday the best way I know how…by spending another hour or so in bed. Enjoy your weekend!

…any cause for celebration for you lately?

You look gorgeous in all these pictures! And those sugar cookie bars look to die for! My latest reason to celebrate was graduating from college but that was over a month ago now! I need another celebration in my life:)

Comedy clubs are the best! They’re especially good if you sit in the front because a good comic will make fun of you (in a good way).
And I need a good celebration sometime soon.
