mdw & checking in.

The Hamptons.

I totally get it now.

This Memorial Day Weekend was the perfect combination of fun with my friends, but also a good dosage of rest and relaxation.

What more could you ask for?

On another note – and I normally hate to do this – I feel the need to apologize for (what I feel like has been) the lack of posts lately. Those phases of blogging-block and life getting really busy always seem to come at the same time…now being one of those times.

I will say, though, that this is when I’m grateful for the “flexibility” of GML. Sometimes I’ll be posting recipes, reviews, and other typical blog content. Other times I’ll post just photo recaps or things I love via Pinterest. Either way, thanks for sticking along for the ride!

How did you spend MDW?

I feel like I failed at mdw this year. I’m so jealous of everyone who spent time in the sun & celebrating! It was productive though.. lots of preparing for the move & time shopping for boring(exciting) things like a new vacuum with the husband. I guess it’s sacrifices like these that will make the next celebration even better though - like my birthday at a new apartment in a couple weeks!

Family, Friends, Running, & Tons of Beach time! I’m a sun lover (with sunblock of course) I adore your blog posts. Never feel like you have to apologize when you are busy living life. Glad your weekend was awesome!

Fun weekend!! :) My husband and I spent the weekend exploring downtown Atlanta. We live about 30 minutes outside of the city, but we stayed in a nice downtown hotel so we could explore a little easier. We had amazing food and a great time!

Wow sweet hamptons digs! I’m actually looking to spend my 30th (eeeep) birthday in Montauk this July. It’s been hard to plan, though, since neither me nor any of my friends have been there! Our knowledge stems from the Friends episode when they go 😉 have you ever been and, if so, any recommendations?? I looked into the hamptons too but seems like its mostly bed and breakfasts and huge houses! Unforch both not conducive to a four-person rowdy bday party :)

I’ve never been to Montauk but am trying to make it out there asap!! (probably for fourth of July). We’re going to either Surf Lodge (our first choice) or Sole East, both of which I’ve heard great things about. Sounds like a great way to celebrate your 30th! :)

don’t apologize for lack of posts - this blog is for you, while yes us readers appreciate & enjoy it just as much, this is a place for to reflect on life, and how can you reflect on life if you aren’t living & enjoying it … & if that means the blog takes a seat on the backburner for a bit, then so be it! I’ve been a reader for over a year now, & I too appreciate the flexibility of your posts, keeps it interesting & new!
