Growing up, my summers were spent with my family at the Jersey Shore. Long days at the beach ended with a visit to our condo pool. They were quite the enjoyable, worry-free summers, to say the least.

Yeah, we were pretty hip kids.

These days, though, life doesn’t let me escape to the beach or pool in the summertime as much as I’d like. As a twenty-something working and living in New York City, my friends and I have to find ways to bring our fun summer activities to us.

Sometimes it’s going somewhere for brunch where we can enjoy our meal outdoors.

Other times it’s a trip to the park to soak in some sun and greenery.

And then, sometimes we prefer to stay in the comfort of our own apartment building and enjoy a favorite summer snack on the sundeck. For Jessi, Erica and I, our favorite treat as of late is Nestlé® Drumsticks®.

We love how Nestlé Drumstick cones are the perfect way for us to enjoy ice cream without having to bring bowls and spoons down to the sundeck with us. They also act as instant portion control, which definitely can’t hurt for when the time comes that we do eventually hop into our bikinis and head to the beach for a weekend!

The other day we broke into a box of the new Pretzel Dipped Drumstick cones (…which I may or may not have had two of, shh). We’ve recently tried the other flavors too - Lil’ Drums Caramel Delights in Vanilla Caramel Crunch and Caramel Graham - and they’re equally out-of-this-world delicious.

With our crazy and oftentimes stressful lives in New York City, simply being able to relax, hang out with friends, and enjoy the mild summer weather is nothing short of priceless. And, let’s be real, there’s still something so darn fun about eating ice cream cones on a hot summer day…even when it’s in the middle of a concrete jungle.

    My favorite thing to do in the summer with my friends and family is to frequent the beach! There is so much to do there including BBQ, volleyball, tanning, swimming and more! Plus being with people you love makes it so much nicer!

    my favorite summer activity is relaxing besides natural springs and having a picnic with my family. we’re able to swim and be adventurous, and then indulge in typical picnic foods such as: hoagies, lemonade, cheese and crackers, grapes, and Nestle Drumbsticks!

    After reading about these Lil’ Drums I am so in need of a grocery store run. My favorite summer activity is taking my dog up to the lake so he can swim and the rest of us can enjoy the cool breeze and fun little picnics.

    My favorite thing to do with my friends and family in the summer is have Friday happy hour at home! We make a special cocktail and a bunch of appetizers and hang out in the sun or take a dip in the pool.

    It;’s fun to take a picnic to the Concerts on the Park or just walk on the beach

    Our favorite summer activity is going boating and tubing with the family. Of course, we have to do a couple of trip to the amusement parks too!

    My favorite activity changes depending on my mood. Some days it’s going to the lake for fishing and swimming, other times it a barbeque in the back yard. Sometimes it’s just sitting outside enjoying the warm air.

    I love the dips I take in our swimming hole with my hubby! We have one of those giant galvanized stock tanks in our yard that we fill with water on hot days and lay in…its awesome! Then after a couple days use, we use the water for our garden!

    I love to go swimming with my teen daughter during the summer. We don’t own a pool but we always find a way (the YMCA this year). Swimming is one of the only things that she still wants to do with me and is very good at. It’s one of the only times that neither of us are worried about what others think and we just enjoy the time together.

    A few weeks ago, my friend and I were CRAVING Nestle Drumsticks. We indulged and were surprised at how little they seemed compared to what we remembered from our childhoods. It still hit the spot. Perfect summer treat without feeling guilty! After reading this, I can’t help but want to try the new caramel grahams.. yum!
