A few months ago Emily answered a series of fifty questions on her blog, and the idea of doing the same has been in the back of my mind ever since. I avoided the little "project” because I try to keep things on GML fun and, well…slightly mindless, so to speak. But, who says I can’t take these semi-serious questions and give them a little bit of my own twist?
So that’s what I’ll be doing.

I’ll be taking each question and post as it comes – some might be serious, others not at all, and everything/anything in between. In other words, I have no idea where the heck I’m going with this, so join me for the train wreck ride, will you? Starting with…
1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
Well shoot. This is already off to a “I really don’t feel like thinking this much” start.
(five minutes later)
Honestly, I’d say I’d be exactly the ripe age of 24 that I am.

I’d say that my maturity (and lack-thereof) and passions in life are congruent with being 24. While some people my age are already married with kids…and others are still living in their parents’ basement playing video games and smoking weed…I like to think that I’m in a pretty appropriate place for this stage of my life (not that there’s anything wrong with those other “life paths”).
If I had to describe my mentality and life right now it would be work hard, play hard…and I don’t think I’d have it any other way.

Your turn – how old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

Ahh I love this, what a fun series! Hmm I would say 25 or 26… which is pretty close since I’m 26. I 100% agree with you on the life paths part - I have friends that still live with their parents, friends that are married with babies and other friends that are single girls like me - but I wouldn’t have my life be any other way
29ish… older than I am (25) which I really hate admitting to… I’m about to change that and take on your moto of work hard, play harder! This post has reminded me to lighten up a little.
Hot wig!
I agree and live by your life motto! Work hard, play harder :o)
Although I am 24, almost 25, I find myself telling people I am still 23… hmm really need to work on that one.
I’m 28 … I look like I’m about 16, but I think I would consider myself closer to 35! I like getting up early and going to bed early. I usually have an early dinner. I don’t go out and party. My idea of a good time is a nice dinner with my husband, followed by cuddling on the couch. The only thing I’m not quite ready for would be the kids that most 35 year olds have! 😉
I’d also have to say mid-20s. Although you’re an adult, you can still act childish and no one bats an eye!
I’m about to turn twenty and I think I feel that age. Sometimes I feel older than that, especially when my friends call me the mother of the group, but at other times feel younger because I have never had a boyfriend (pretty sad huh? hah)…..not sure why I felt the need to share that haha. Oh well!
girl, it’s completely normal to not have had a boyfriend if you’re only 19! Heck, I’m almost 25 and have only had one boyfriend in my life!

Sometimes I feel a lot older than I am (20) but then other times I feel like I’m not old enough to be in my own life.
But seriously, you’re pretty and I think we would be friends in real life.
What an interesting question…my initial response is to say twenty. I’ll be turning twenty in three months, but in many ways I already feel like I am twenty. Nineteen was an interesting age, to say the least, and I feel like I’m kind of over it already. Twenty sounds just a pinch more responsible, but still full of laughs and silly times. Perfect.
i hear ya…there is definitely something really significant about entering your 20’s. happy (3-months-early) birthday 😉
I’m 23, but people think that I’m still in high school. I’m a period of transition in my life, so I’m going to say 22 or 23. I’m trying to figure out where my career’s going, and I’m getting married soon, and those are changes that a lot of 20-somethings go through.

I am 24 but most of the time I feel more like I’m in my late twenties. I will have my masters degree in the spring, have a full time job teaching, have an amazing boyfriend, and so many responsibilities! I’m TRYING to start having a work hard, play harder approach so I can really enjoy this time before I have the marriage/kids thing… starting with a trip to NYC tomorrow!
I can completely relate to Jessica here. I am almost 24 (in about 2 weeks), but I feel like I’m in my later 20s. I will be completing my Master’s degree next Spring, have a steady job that I love, and have always felt more “mature” than other people my age. Sometimes feeling older gets in the way of just having fun so I’m trying to do that a little more sometimes.
good for both of you!! that is so amazing and admirable
21…but that’s only because I walk into the bars like I’m 21….sorry I’m not sorry.
haha

I am 31 and feel like I am still 27 or 28. I have two beautiful little girls and husbnd that keeps me young. I have fallen into some new practices (yoga, running, and pilates) that just make me feel young!
