you know what monday means.

Guess what? I shamelessly get sucked into this crap every. single. season.

(…although, wine barrels? really?)

Thankfully I can safely say that it has nothing to do with the “love” aspect and everything to do with seeing what these crazy broads will do next. Because…let’s be real…the day I ski down a mountain in a bikini to win a date is the same day I give you permission to throw me off the edge of that mountain.

Oh, and on an even more shallow note, does Ben’s hair make anyone else uncomfortable?

Let’s discuss.

  • It’s hard to watch this season because the girls are so redic, but it’s hard not to watch it for the same reason!

The other day a local radio station interviewed a girl from a past season and she said she wasn’t in it for love- she said love can’t happen in a room full of vicious women, a sleazy man, and in a matter of months- what she fell in love with was a luxurious life of expense free traveling!

  • Agreed! These girls are hilarious!! Watching a bunch of “love” crazed women on a Monday night is my kind of entertainment.

  • at the risk of sounding completely stupid and not to mention shallow… his hair is not the only thing that makes me uncomfortable. How about the huge under eye circles that apparently good concealer and pounds of makeup can’t hide. I know my dark under eye circles are bad.. but I don’t think Ben sleeps. haha :)

  • Honestly this is so mean..I think he is remarkably unattractive.
    Oops I said it.

  • Hahaha this season is crazy. All the girls are way too emotional, but I can’t stop watching. I think he would look SO much better if he got a haircut! The middle part isn’t working too well.

  • Jessica

I know one of the girls on the show this season! Her name is Kacie B.; she’s from my hometown, we went to middle and high school together, etc. SUPER sweet girl, but I have no idea why she decided it was a good idea to go on this crazy ass show. Spoiler alert: I heard she makes it to the final four!

  • Totally agree. I LOVE Bachelor Mondays. Cook dinner, pop a bottle of wine, and watch the crazy unfold. And yes… his head looks like there’s a… sleeping rodent on top of it or something :-( why, Ben? WHY?

  • Oh gosh, yes. He just seems so awkward and uncomfortable. Like he might be a nice guy, so WHY did he agree to do this? {Disclaimer: I didn’t watch his season of the bachelorette & am like 2 episodes behind this season so I don’t know if he’s actually legit}

  • Annie

bahaha, yes. I watched last week for the first time, and my first thought right after “what the fuck is this shit” was “why are these girls fighting after that dippy looking guy?”

  • I totally get sucked into this show too but truth be told, this season is horrible. The broads are insane (what’s up with that Courtney chick?) and Ben is a huge snoozefest with awk hair. I am looking forward to Emily’s season though. She’s going to be boring as well but at least there will be man-candy to oogle.

  • ugh. as evidenced by my snarky post on Friday, I’m not a fan of this season’s contestants OR Ben. I liked him better on the bachelorette, which I also shamelessly watched.

he kinda looks like a dog to me.

    I meeeeaaann..

  • Ha, his hair isn’t that bad! I rarely watch The Bachelor, I just find the women way too pathetic, but the ad campaign for this new season almost roped me in. Those commercials were hilarious!

  • I get sucked into the Bachelor every season and this season my friends and I are doing a bachelor bracket!! Haha but silly Brittney ruined my chances last week by taking herself out of the equation! I had her being Top 3! And yes- I HATE Ben’s hair!

  • I am a sucker too… And the hair, yes. Not to be mean but I do not find him attractive at all.

  • What I have to say is that it would be a lot more interesting if they brought in a new person like they did in the beginning. I never thought Ben was too appealing to begin with…and poor thing this cheesy picture doesn’t help! Lol:)

  • My husband and I both agree that Ben’s hair needs to be cut! And I feel the same way as you … I have to watch every season, but I’m not watching all gooey-eyed, thinking it’s actually going to last!

Personally, I’m a fan of Kacie (the one he did a one-on-one with in Sonoma). But honestly, I don’t want her to “win” because I like her too much and I think she deserves more than a relationship with Ben that will probably last all of 6 months!

  • It’s seriously like watching a car crash. I just can’t stop watching. EVERY SEASON I get sucked in and then I just want to smack myself in the face.

And, yeah… his hair. It’s like he’s going through his rebellious middle school “I don’t want to cut my hair” phase, but he’s like 30. It’s completely unacceptable. And then cut to 20 girls screaming OH MY GOD HE’S SO HOT. What?

I just can’t wait for the season that some girl goes bat-shit crazy and like shaves all her hair off like Britney or falls into the pool drunk. It’s bound to happen eventually.

  • I agree..he needs a haircut!

but…I’m SOOOOO into this season because KACIE B. IS MY FRIEND!!!!!!! She is really a sweet girl in real life, so I hope the show doesn’t change her!!!

    :)

  • Lauren

I actually liked Ben on Bachelorette but can’t stand him as the lead…he is not cut out for it and just very unbelievable to me. Plus some of his picks so far (cough cough courtney cough cough) make me scratch my head!!

  • Kimberley

REALLY??? You all don’t like Ben’s hair?? I LOVE it!! My boyfriend has longer hair too soooo…. I think he seems more genuine and down-to-earth than most of the men who were on before him! At least he isn’t Mr. Cheesy!! I mean, yes, the show in general is a cheese-fest all around but you know what I mean! Ben was actually my favorite from Ashley’s season. Maybe I am one of those hopeless romantic types (First Knight is a favorite movie) and if I see one more Wall Street type with his hair so shaved that I can see his scalp… ewww. :)The more artistic/romantic a guy looks the better!! Enjoy the season ladies! I agree that there are some crazy *ss chicks on this one!

  • [...] It’s been quite a while since I regularly indulged in this favorite hobby of mine. I could use the excuse that “life has just been sooo crazy,” but the truth is that the time I could spend baking is the same time I’ve been preferring to get sucked into a reality television daze. [...]

  • I hate his hair! I spent the entire last season willing him to cut it, and I fully expected a makeover this season. Apparently, a makeover just means that it’s a bit straighter… nfdnfkjdnkndsnfkjds agh
