I love a good cafe.
Yesterday Erica and I spent a few hours at one of our favorites, (cafe-by-day, bar-by-night) VBar in SoHo. As someone who loves good coffee and also works remotely, I look for a few key things in a cafe.
Good food and drinks? Check.
Cozy and inspiring atmosphere? Check.
Free wireless? Check.
Yup, VBar fits the bill.

What things do you think make for a great cafe?
I’ve heard about this place, I’ll definitely have to check it out when I’m back in the city, it looks lovely. My favorite cafe in NYC is probably Kaffe 1668 for the ambiance and Ground Support for coffee (if you need to sit). They both have tons of seating, a great atmosphere and good drinks. Score!

We have this great little cafe right near the university, and another location in the middle of our downtown neighborhood here in Reno- it’s called Bibo, and has the most amazing coffee. One thing they believe in not having is the internet- so we go there for a tech- free atmosphere, just to chat.
Oh thanks! I love the cafe reviews.. sometimes it’s great to get out of the apartment but still be able to get work done. I’ll have to check this place out.
The fact that it’s in SoHo is good enough for me. +cozy. You’re taking me there this summer, done deal.

I love a small cafe that is quiet enough that I can get work done, but not silent. Also, if they serve sandwiches that’s a plus.
Good drinks, tasty treats, some tunes streaming in the background, and free wifi are always nice!
I go for places where everything (or most things) are well-thought-out: fair trade coffee, quality ingredients, comfy atmosphere…
