last girl standing.

In the city where most people weren’t actually raised, I feel like I’m one of the few that’s still here…one who isn’t with my family doing the whole “cookie baking and gift wrapping” thing just yet. So, what exactly does a girl do in NYC when she hasn’t made it home for the holidays?

She shops, naturally.

And grabs herself to a special treat.

She cleans, does laundry, paints her nails, and blogs. Simultaneously.

She packs. Or at least attempts to.

She tries to finish up work early so she can do more shopping.

She gets excited for the whole reason she isn’t home yet, which is to become the Bergdorf blonde she always dreamed of being. John Barrett Salon…two blondies are coming your way.

And, while we’re still here, we might as well enjoy a nice dinner out and a little bit of dancing, right? RIGHT. See you tomorrow, Pennsylvania! xoxo G

Are you home for the holidays yet? What are some of your family traditions?

My family now celebrates between Christmas and New Years so I am still at my place. This is my first year away from family so I am starting to make my own traditions in a way. Have a great Christmas!

Sounds fun going to the salon right before Christmas. I was born and raised in New York and always enjoy spending Christmas here, my family traditions usually always involve something New York-y (this year we’re going to see The Nutcracker and having Christmas Eve dinner at a new restaurant). It’s always nice to come home for the holidays!

      ABOUT THAT….

hahaha. Yeah, that didn’t really last long, mostly because I realized I wasn’t taking as big of a pay cut as I thought and could still afford to shop here and there :)

haha, that’d about how my suitcase always looks!! I hate packing and unpacking, so I always just end up tossing things into my suitcase. I’m lucky enough to have been home for about a week and a half. It’s my last winter break as a student, so I’m enjoying my family time as much as I can!

I wish I was able to go home, but we are staying put this year. The one nice thing is that I only have to change out of PJs when it is time to shower, then PJs right back on. :)
