You may have noticed that lately when I do reviews I’ll say “GML approved” if…well, if I approve! And, since doing reviews is one of my favorite parts of blogging, why not just roll with that little phrase? So from now on my review posts will include that tagline somewhere or another, which I think will make things a bit more organized too.
So, as you might have guessed, here are a few GML approved items - and one not-so-approved - that I’ve come across lately.
Vitamin Water Zero - Lemonade
I’ve tried other flavors of Vitamin Water Zero and hated them (one actually tasted like cough syrup), BUT this flavor is great! All the flavor of lemonade without being overly sweet. GML approved.
The Simply Bar - Lemon Coconut
I wanted to like this bar…I really did. The texture was great, and the flavor was okay, but there was a weird aftertaste that I couldn’t get past. With 16 grams of protein, though, I’d consider grabbing this as a snack again. Not quite GML approved, but not horrible.
Revlon CustomEyes - Naturally Glamorous
When I wear eye shadow, I only ever wear shades of brown. But, as some of you may know, finding this perfect shade of brown isn’t as easy as it sounds. Well, I’ve recently found a winner, and I may just have to stock up just in case it ever gets discontinued…
You’re supposed to put the shades on different parts of your eyelid (which I sort of follow, but you obviously don’t have to). I especially like using the darkest one as a substitute for eyeliner. Definitely GML approved.

I love Revlon and like you I only wear shades of brown. I’m not good when it comes to makeup so if I was left alone to apply any other color, I’d look like a clown.
I’ve always wanted to try Vitamin Water but for some reason I never buy it.
I also use the darkest eyeshadow as a substitute for eyeliner! I HATE actual eyeliner…I think it looks so harsh
The lemon Simply Bar is my favorite flavor because the aftertaste doesn’t seem funky. I love the stats for those bars, but just wish they tasted a little better…
My OCD wants me to be brand loyal at the drug store, but in reality I have a smorgasbord of everything haha.
I just bought that Vitamin Water the other day! It’s one of my favorites, which is kinda funny cause I’m not a huuuuuuge lemonade person
I bought the Revlon CustomEyes (in naturally glamorous too) last week and I love it!
Ha, silly as it may be, once I bought this fantastic black eyeliner by some ridiculously named company like “wet n’ wild” or something like that. It’s the only black eyeliner I’d ever wear, and it was 99 cents!
Haha, TOTALLY agreed on the Vitamin Water Zero Lemondade! I tasted one that I legit thought was cough syrup too! Haha Gross.
The lemonade vitamin water is my favorite one as well! Tastes less fake than all the other flavors.
That vitamin water is also one of my faves! <3
funny - the only vitamin water zero i really like is the lemonade too! i think i OD on it.

I recently purchased physicians formula gel eyeliner and they work SO well!
I always love your photos, and the way you post them. The Vitamin Zero Squeezed is my favorite, I tried it a while ago…and it is just as good as the regular flavors.
I love that vitamin water flavor too! I also like the xxx flavor….i think that’s what it is called?
Cover Girl Lashblast — it ROCKS!
I wear CoverGirl or Almay…I’ve had bad allergic reactions to other brands, so I just stick to what I know works best now.
It really is hard to find the perfect brown shade. I got a bunch of Estee Lauder eyeshadows from their gift time and I luckily found a few in there that work with my skin tone!
Ohh I love that vitamin water! It’s the only one that I ever drink!
And thanks for the review on the brown eye shadow- that’s all I ever really use too and I’m always looking for new shades. I have to have a little shimmer in mine or else it just looks blah on my eyes, but not too much shimmer where it’s sparkly. Haha clearly I’m picky here. Clinique makes a few thought that are good! In terms of drug store purchases, I really like Cover Girl Lash Blast! I’ve tried so many different mascaras, but that one is always my fave!
I’m obsessed with Maybelline Full and Soft mascara. It is the one mascara that doesn’t clump for me.
Vitamin Water Lemonade is my favorite too. I’m not a huge fan of any of their other flavors but that one is pretty good.

I do buy a lot of things at Sephora, but there is plenty of good stuff at the drugstore. My fave drugstore brand is L’Oreal — awesome for both quality and price.
I have been wearing their liquid eyeliner for years, and I have recently come back to their Voluminous mascara — the carbon black shade is the best, it is a dupe for my other fave DiorShow. But I can usually find Voluminous on sale for $5, and DiorShow is five times that. No brainer!
I hear you on the difficulties of finding a good brown eyeshadow combo. Recently I bought a sephora brand pallet and really liked that one (<- I know…not the answer to your question re: drug store brands!) anyways..
Maybelline for their concealer and mineral powder. And Covergirl for their lash exact mascara. Fun post! I adore brown eye shadow, too!
physicians formula has a eye-match collection that is AWESOME for accentuating your specific color eyes. and I am constantly using the darker shades of eyeliner. I tmight have the brights, night, day, and candy collections. I might be obsessed.
I rarely ever use eyeshadow. I’m more of an eyeliner and mascara kind of girl. Do you a fav brand for those??
Rimmel Lash Accelerator is my favorite, for sure!!
And for eyeliner I use Covergirl pencil liner - “Mink” shade

I KNOW! That flavor of the vit. water zero is the best. I usually hate stuff like that because it tastes all fake and weird. This is super refreshing after a hike or workout though. yum.
