fb part 4: now that was fun.

Hello, loves! Let’s see…where did we leave off…?

After the sessions yesterday a group of us headed to Talara for drinks and appetizers. Talara is a Latin bar & restaurant that specializes in raw small plates, but they still had other cooked menu options as well. I was tempted to try their supposedly famous Seviche, but I knew we were getting dinner elsewhere so I stuck to enjoying the good company :)

G&G!

I loved the environment of this Talara – it had that fun, carefree feel of being on vacation almost. So although I can’t vouche for the food (yet), I’d say this place is worth a shot if you’re visiting the Baltimore area.

Next we headed to the waterfront for dinner at Pizazz Tuscan Grille. I can’t say we had the greatest of service because they were low-staffed, but the manager made up for it by bringing us some garlic bread and pizza appetizers on the house. And, I didn’t mind too much because it was nice to just be sitting outside on the gorgeous Saturday evening!

Hi Beth! :)

For our meal Brittany and I split the (gluten-free) Pizza Rustica – tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, freshly roasted peppers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes.

It was really good! I especially loved the gluten-free crust – it was like a thick tortilla, almost? And there was definitely no skimpage on the veggies, clearly.

After dinner an even bigger group of us (including mah girls Meg, Megan, and Katy!) headed over to Power Plant Live, which I’d say is best described as “A Nightlife Theme Park”…

Needless to say, we had a blast :)

I spent the morning hanging out with Gabs for a bit before she headed home, and I’ll be en route back to NYC shortly. All in all, I’d deem this weekend of learning, relaxing, eating, and amazing company a downright phenom one.

See you in New York! xoxo G

How do you handle not-so-great service at a restaurant?
And who is the blogger you’d most like to meet?? (I’ve definitely met some new faves this weekend!)
