Hello, my sweets! First of all - I just have to say thank you so incredibly much for all of your support and congratulations. It really means so much to me! :)

I’ve also got to apologize for the lame “post” earlier…it’s just been one of those days.

…and being out until 2am probably wasn’t conducive to a productive morning.

(Clearly there won’t be much more of that on Monday nights anymore.)

So – onto the details of my new job. To make a long story short, I’ll be the administrative assistant for a commercial real estate appraising firm based in Manhattan.

That’s right - my new job is basically…..the same as my old job! :P

I don’t discuss my work life too much on the blog, so for those of you who didn’t know, I’ve been working for my dad’s real estate appraising company for the past two years. Since moving to New York, I continued working for his company from home. While working from the comfort of my apartment definitely has its perks, I’ve been dying to get out into the real world! So, starting on Thursday, that’s what I’ll be doing.

So what do I think about this career move? Well, if you would’ve asked me 6 months ago what I hoped my future career would look like, my answer would probably be something along the lines of public relations or advertising. But with all of the changes that have happened in my life over the past year, I’ve realized that God has had something else in the works for me.

You see, after going on dozens of interviews and learning more about those industries, I realized that they…they just aren’t for me. I couldn’t tell you exactly why that is. What I can tell you, though, is that continuing in the real estate industry is a decision I’m really excited and confident about. I guess it’s just in my genes, you know? :)

The thing is, as much as I love social media and communication, I feel like I’ve already satisfied that passion (and will continue doing so) with GML. To be quite frank, I want my social media skills and passion to be put forth to my own “brand” rather than someone else’s. And, to have the opportunity to learn even more about another industry that I’m interested in…well, I’ve decided that that’s the best direction for me to head in. All in all, I’m really thrilled about this opportunity and where it might lead me. I’m also excited to share this new leg of my journey here on my second job - GML!

In other news, I actually just arrived in Pennsylvania for a dentist appointment tomorrow. I just can’t get a break (except in my molar, clearly), but at least I’m getting it out of the way sooner rather than later.

Thankfully my food-less kitchen was recently filled with some new goodies from Udi’s, so I was able to throw together a peanut butter bagel sandwich for the road rail.

I’ve mentioned before how I’m drawn to gluten free products, and Udi’s has yet to disappoint. I’ve also been snacking on their blueberry muffins.

I approve. highly.
So thank you, Udi’s, for donating delicious treats to this single lady’s pantry :)

I’m off to spend some time with the ‘rents. Enjoy your evening, friends! xoxo G
