better late than cakeless.

Can we talk about my birthday for just one more sec???

I know, I know…I’d be sick of hearing about it too.

But you see, the other day I was reminiscing about my 24th when I realized that I didn’t have a birthday cake this year OR last year.

(…because the icing I ate off three mini cupcakes at 2am last Friday night didn’t exactly count.)

I’m still confused as to how this even happened. Me - a girl who is quite literally obsessed with baked goods - not enjoying at least one slice of cake on her birthday(s)? Travesty.

Thankfully, I have a mom who is….well, she’s pretty much a saint as far as I’m concerned. Upon hearing me mention this unfortunate fact the other day, she made sure to have a birthday cake awaiting my arrival back in Pennsylvania last night.

Yep…the birthday tank has officially been filled.

THANKS MOM.

Now, would it be slightly ironic if I told you the reason I was home was for a dentist appointment? …don’t answer that.

xoxo G

What’s your idea of the perfect birthday cake?
