…what more does a girl need?

Although the mere company of others is at the top of my list, I’ve got to say that food, clothes, and romance are some of life’s necessities. Wouldn’t you agree? And since company wasn’t exactly the highlight of my weekend, I’m glad that there were enough of the other three to make up for that.

Taking a backwards approach to the title of this post…no, Mr. Right didn’t make his debut in my life over the past couple of days. Instead, the “romance” I witnessed was only through a movie so conveniently called The Romantics.

Oddly enough, I’d rate the romance in this film as a paltry 4. It was a decent enough movie and the acting was good, though, so the rental wasn’t entirely a waste.

On to the clothes. Like many of you may have experienced, Friday’s the weather was warm enough to sport *gasp* short sleeves!

(Can we just assess how creepy my hand looks? K cool.)

As if that were not thrilling enough, yesterday I did something that I rarely get to do anymore; I shopped until I (just nearly) dropped. Walking around the mall for hours at a time is definitely something you have to be in the mood for, but boy was I in the mood. It. was. awesome.

Thankfully I didn’t spend too much money and walked away with purchases from just two of my favorite stores.

As for the food over the past couple of days, I branched out just a tad from my normal eats. For example, instead of digging into a jar of peanut butter, I whipped together a small batch of homemade cashew butter.

All I did was throw about 1.5 servings of raw cashews into the food processor for just shy of a minute. Then I added a drizzle of almond milk to smooth it out a bit. The result was thick, buttery, and insanely good.

Also on the food-genda: an impulsive purchase of gluten free Cherry Almond Streusel Muffins.

Bomb.

Side note: I’m not really sure what it is about gluten free products that I’m so drawn too. It is because I subconsciously think that they’re “healthier” than a gluten-present version? Or because mostly all of the gluten free products I’ve tried have had a deliciously unique texture and taste? I think it’s a little bit of both.

But who cares about that, right? What I really want to know is…

When is the last time you went shopping? What did you get??
