feeling better already.

Earlier today I took to Twitter to share with the world why they should feel sorry for me.

But then I thought, WHO CARES? People get sick all of the time.

So instead of embarking on my usual method for getting better (calling mom and having her ask the doctor to call in antibiotics for me), I went about it the way normal folk do. And whadaya know, it seems to be working!

I’ve been consuming a ton of water, along with veg…

…cough drops, tea…

…and comfort food.

A relaxing candle seemed to help…

…and most importantly, ample relaxation on my nap throne.

My throat is still feeling a slight scratch, but I’m optimistic.

How do you snap out of an impending illness?

I did the exact same thing today! My throat is still a little bit scratchy too but I’m determined to be well enough to run in my second half marathon on Saturday.
I hope you feel completely better soon!

I’ve been feeling sick lately too, so I just took the most glorious nap I have in awhile!

My trick is TONS of tea - I use Traditional Medicinals Echinacea Plus tea and Cold Season tea from Yogi. Plus, tons of fruits and veg! Take the opportunity to eat tons of sweet potatoes, the Vitamin A and beta carotene will help you ward off germs:)

Is your blanket from Target? If so, I totally have it in the exact same color. When I start feeling sick I usually take an Emergen-C packet and go to bed early. It seems to help a bit, but I would love to find some sort of anti-sickness miracle plan.

I loveeee making “sick beds”. They’re the most comforting relief for sickness aches. i’m also a fan of soup/popsicles when i have a scratchy throat. lifetime movies also don’t hurt 😉

I swear by zinc lozenges and echinacea! Also try eating something with celery and onion cooked together, like chicken soup. Finally, REST! Don’t exercise or leave the house for 3 days and you will feel so much better!
