the most wonderful time of the year.

Christmas is great and all, but…

Let’s just say my future daughters WILL be Girl Scouts.

And I will be the mom selling the cookies while secretly eating an entire box under the table.

Samoas, of course.

My only question is…when did Samoas become Caramel deLites?

What’s your favorite GS cookie??

I laughed out loud (LOL’d, if you will) when I saw the title of this post immediately followed by that image of Girl Scout Cookies! They are a pleasure (guilty pleasure? ….naw!) of mine too, especially Samoa’s. 😉

Ok, we actually had an ongoing debate about that during my freshman year of college: Apparently, Girl Scout Cookies go by different names in different areas of the country. For example, the peanut butter kind are “Tagalongs” in some places while they are just “Peanut Butter Patties” in other places!

The good news is that Thin Mints are always Thin Mints!

Everyone at my office sells these and they always put that you can send them to the troops or buy for yourself. It takes every ounce of me to send to the troops. I think I need to incorporate the one for me, one for them.

It all depends on where you buy them. In Maine, where I’m from, they’re called Caramel Delites, but when we buy them from my cousins in Virginia, they come as Samoas. Some of the other cookies have different names depending on where you buy them, too!

I am 100% a Samoas girl as well…and I refuse to call them Caramel deLites or what have you! I remember setting up a tent in my bedroom and stashing myself in there with multiple boxes and not coming out until they were all gone.

actually there are two different companies that bake the cookies (abc bakers and little brownie) one company calls then caramel delites and the other calls them samoas. The same goes for peanut butter patties and tagalongs or peanut butter sandwiches and do-si-does. I grew up on caramel de-lites then our council switched companies. Abc > Little Brownie :) lol

    love your blog btw :)
